This is sad, but beautifully written.
I'm a bit confused about the paragraph that starts 'Kagome had her back to him, reading out of the worn pages of her notebook as she brought down the herbs she needed'. Is it a memory brought on by visiting the house? If so I think you could have made it a bit clearer.

A heartbreaking scenario you have here. But it does make for a good story. I like reading this, even if it is very sad. I think a child is the only thing that could keep the loss of Kagome from absolutely destroying Inuyasha. I like how you portray him learning how to be a father on his own and his doubts. You do a good job writing the emotions of this situation.

I both love and hate this. I'm not generally an angst fan, and I didn't need a good cry during my lunch hour today, but this was well-written, in-character (I sometimes forget how much I love Sango), tender and realistic, and hopeful as well as saddening. Well done. Meany. :(

This was cute. Sad, but cute. Not often do we get to see stories with simple snippets like this. Where it isn't centered solely on the tragedy. I like how you took the idea of Kagome's death and spun it into one of hope, where he is able to grieve, breakdown, and scream until his voice turns hoarse. And then he's able to stand, because his baby girl needs him. And I think you portrayed everything, including Inuyasha being a father, perfectly. I loved this. Great job.

I would think sesshomaru would have been around to revive her merely on rin's request.
But, to be honest. I liked this plot and it would be interesting as a plot twist fanfic that would be great if it covered daily life over a span of time. I like daily life but it wouldnt be popular for most.

Ow my heart. Bittersweet to the max! I loved it though. And it makes sense, medicine being vastly different in the feudal era, fic writers sometimes forget how different labor was in the olden days, lol. I liked how Sango immediately stepped up, I love her character and of course all the inu-gami group dynamics. So in character as always. Amazing!
