I know I'm kinda late to the party, but I still had to tell you how much I enjoyed this, not Clark's suffering of course, but the unconditional love the Kents show him and how Clark craves more and more of it. It's really too bad you never finished the tale, because I really would have liked to read your take on (a) justice for Sheila and her POS hubby, (b) Clark's full and final assimilation into the Kent family, (c) the first time he calls Martha and Jonathan 'Mom' and 'Dad', (d) the reactions and adjustments of all three Kents once Clark's powers begin to manifest in earnest, etc, etc. Perhaps this review will inspire you to get back into it? One can only hope... ;)

I like the story so far. I feel bad for Clark. I can't imagine Clark being that vulnerable but I think I have a pretty clear picture in my head.

Shame this was unfinished. I would have loved to read more.

Hey GleeJunkie! Good to see you back, I was thinking about your story the other day and hoping you'd be able to get back to it.
Poor baby Clark, he really doesn't know how to interact with others does he? Just goes to show the damage done by Clark's "parents". Now you've got me wondering why Clark got sick? I'm glad Martha worked out that Clark needed Johnathon to comfort him at least, that boy needs lots and lots of love and reassurance.

So very good! Sure have missed you and this story! Wonder what's going on with Clark? I first thought kryptonite...and what a mess that will be because the Kents don't know anything about him. (Since they didnt see him come from the sky or his spaceship). Perhaps it's not that right now, but I can't wait to see how you plot his powers appearing, etc. when you do. Loving this so! Great job. Especially with Pete showing up...yay! I almost cried when Clark got sick and spoiled it, sigh. Like I said, can NOT wait for the rest!

Wow you sure are on a roll now huh? I must agree with Clark, dentist chairs are uncomfortable especially when your legs hang over the end! At least he didn't have any cavities! I'm so glad that Johnathon came armed when the Spencer's returned, and Clark gets the hug he needs the most. I'm sure the more the Kents reinforce their commitment to Clark the easier it'll get for him.

Yes...very good chapter. They sure have their work cut out for them re: Clark. In some ways they're dealing with a 5 yr old in a 6 ft, or so, body. Excellent descriptions of Clark’s thinking process. I like Pete's father being the dentist. Glad he might appear in the story. Clark needs friends. Eventually of course.

Hey, just started story, and finished it. I love it so far.

I wonder what happened, why the needle hurt him so much, if Helen Bryce, discovers the abnormalities in his blood like in the series, and seeing what she does with that info. But most of all, I'm curious how an abused Clark could change his future (and the future Superman).

Anyway, curious to see what happens, eagerly looking forward to the next chapter, nice work. :)
