Kakashi's life/death experiences (his death and return against Pein, Rin and Obito assisting him from the spriritual plane against Kaguya, the attention he received from Hagoromo during the Fourth War, etc.) would make him quite the magnet for otherworldly encounters like the one in your tale, I imagine! I love the idea of him journeying like this as a way to benefit mind, body, and spirit. Very sage-like.
