But still, this was so brilliantly done! Everything was so in character, so filled with beauty, so perfect. I loved it! And I'm so sorry for your loss. I know the exact same feeling you and Mikey are going through. When I lost my grandparents I would play their voice and things they would say over and over again in my head just so that I would always remember it. I still do it, because I never want to forget their voices. I'm here if you ever need to talk.

What a touching story!

Thinking of Season 3's finale still makes me quite sad but I still have faith that Splinter and everyone else will come back. I loved how you portrayed Mikey's grief here. I totally see him as someone who will try to put on a brave, cheery front for the world before breaking down completely. A piece of Mikey's innocence died the day Splinter did. Raph knows it but there's nothing he can do about it now. :(

This was absolutely STUNNING. Raph WOULD shoulder guilt for all of this, it's just in his character (and i love Casey sharing a room with him.) But Mikey, oh no. Mikey curled around his little tphone, watching a video of their father over and over? Dude, there are actual tears in my eyes.

Already flailed about this over in the tags on tumblr, but it deserves a proper review here as well. I'm not sure what it says about me, but I do love this sort of fic, and you've really managed to capture the emotion well. Really felt like an emotional punch in the gut as it unfolded, which is exactly how it should feel. And you got both Raph and Mikey spot on. It really sounded like them. Great job!

Oh man, that was sad! I can see Mikey doing something like this to try and hold on to his father's voice. Nicely done on this. I'm sorry for your loss as well. Losing a loved one is never easy as I have reason to know. If you need to talk about it, just PM me. Nicely done on this.
