I love everything about this! I love how you change the canon for something that makes more sense! Also it’s just so amazing how you can write April and Casey so well and they’re so in character! And I can’t wait to see the showdown and hope splinter gets better! And thanks for the cultural corner it was interesting!

Oh man, I really, really, like this story. By a lot. I've read a few fics with Mikey at the center. Understandable because he is my favourite turtle. A lot of them had bad stuff happen to Mikey and his brothers scrabbling to fix things. But here the bad stuff happen to the whole family and Mikey is left scrabbling to fix things. He's making a good showing, he's really stepping up. But he also have a lot of growing to do before things will start to go right. It makes me fear a little for him when you used The Count of Monte Cristo (I'm only vaguely familiar with the tale, enough to worry how much Mikey will change). But I also fear for him Not changing. Or at least. Appear to not change. For him to continue bottling things up, continue to cover the hurt with his sunny personality. I know he's talking with Casey, April and the others but there's a lot in his head. And, and... Oh, Mikey. I can sympathise with him.

Be that as it may, I believe this story will and is taking first place among my tmnt favourites. The pacing is good. The relationships between Mikey and those around him is, I feel, organic.

As stated, the pacing is good, as are the characters, the conversations, the situations. There's... a lot more I want to say but don't know how yet. But I'll end with this; I adore your little tidbits of Head canon at the end of the chapters. They help create a deeper connection to the story and characters and add a nice touch of personality.

Hey! This is so cool, it sucks having to break your favorite characters just so you can fix them, I feel this. But you did a great job. Also, nice solve of the time travel issue, they really did fail at wrapping that one up...

Should be sleep but saw this update. Love how much you put in this, I learn so much from this story, other then the pure enjoyment. Grat job breaking the characters down and building them up. Looking forward to more. Stay safe.

You REALLY NEED to update! Please! I don’t know how much more of this I can handle... You’re too good at this! I was seriously not breathing through half the chapter!
Yeah, I and my sister considered that plot hole as well and after debating about it we concluded that it was not necessarily a plot hole. In the episode, Raphael wasn’t under the control of the brainworm when he was first thrown in the same room with Shredder. Apparent that he had been unconscious before that time. The effects of the brainworm didn’t become a problem until Raph tried to attack Shredder and the Shredder told him to stop. Even then the brainworm didn’t have complete control. In the rest of the scene after that, Shredder is obviously testing the brainworm and it’s limits. Seeing how far Raph will go and how much control he has over the redmasked mutant. And, too add it up, I don’t think that the foot were anticipating an attack from the others in that way.
Honestly, I think the plot hole is earlier on. When Rockwell and Slash ‘escape’ from foot hq. The foot obviously already knew the affect the brainworm shad on them, and were confident that they would be able to control them outside of foot hq. So, why didn’t they ask them? And why not follow them too the lair instead of just telling them to bring back a turtle? That’s the plot hole that gets me.
