Hmmm I'm not sure. Palpatine kind of cornered Anakin with his fear of losing Padme, and his dreams. If that was addressed then yeah, but who knows when the time is ready perhaps Anakin would remember this conversation had it happened this way and maybe choose a different path in order to not hurt Obi-Wan. He may lose Padme, but at least he has Obi-Wan, and realizing that perhaps would make it easier to let go. But we'll never know. This at least is a sappy beautiful conversation that really emphasizes and shows how deep there bond is, really wish the movie's dialogue was like this. Great job! I'm like reading every one of your works and loving each of them, your such a great writer!

Anakin Skywalker's Fall, as depicted onscreen, should not have happened. If Padme and Obi-Wan were as perceptive as they are supposed to be, they would have caught Anakin before he even started down that Dark road.
