Words cannot describe how deeply I have enjoyed this story. It ticks all the right boxes and hits all the right feels. I have no idea how I have not come across this story before but I dare say it has shot right up there to be one of my favourites. I absolutely love the characterisations and the interactions between all the characters, and I’ve really enjoyed reading about Feemor too. And I love the interactions between Ben and Obi-Wan and of course Ben and Qui-Gon. Now off I go on to the next one!

I thought of something like this a while back but it was Grandmaster Luke Skywalker from legends right after his fight with Abaloth, not sure I spelled that right, but he showed up at the end of episode 2 just in time to save his father from loosing his arm but not uninjured.

YO this is so good! I reached chapter 21 and I was SO scared it was another abandoned work. The relief I felt when I read the note is immeasurable. Thank you

Shmi breathed calmly and evenly from the other end of the room, leaving Ben and Anakin to make acquaintance in solitude. Alone with his very, very young brother of yesteryear, Ben couldn't dam the tears that stirred at his eyes. "There now," he smiled shakily down at the infant, "that was very rude of you, Anakin. What have I told you about frivolous uses of the Force?"

Anakin, compelled by the space-time continuum and the law of conservation of matter, could not recall any of Obi-Wan's lectures. In place of articulating this excuse, he pulled at the edge of Ben's tabards and spat bubbles. Ben burst into either laughter or tears - the two phenomena felt so astonishingly similar, sometimes. His cheeks were wet, at any rate. "Yes, that's right," the master said, laughing. But the laughing became silent sobs. Anakin remained unaffected, staring up at the weeping man in non-recognition. This made Ben cry harder. "Anakin," He choked, and covered his mouth with a sleeve to stifle his emotion.

Tenderly, he clutched Anakin upright to his chest and leaned a cheek against the infant's crown. Tears unchecked, Ben began rocking back and forth to the waves of grief he thought he'd conquered years ago. "I'm sorry," he crooned to the small Chosen One and the world he'd left too broken to continue on, "I'm so sorry."

This is possibly the most fantastic paragraph I have ever read in a fanfiction. Thank you so much for this story - and I am so happy that I have so many chapters and sequels left!

Re-reading this, all I will say is that Krell and Ben’s conversation is very reminiscent of a sort-of foreshadowing of Endgame’s Thanos/Scarlet Witch. Very reminiscent.

This is the most realistic confrontation concerning the time travellers revealing that he time traveled. Realism in fanfic just makes the story more relatable!

Very interesting. The story is entertaining and good so far. The characterization are just spot on. In Canon, the jedi temple was built on a sith temple in order to curl that power. I believe this fact should be put in this book!

if humans could break through the screen and climb into different worlds. id slap each council member(expect Yoda). then try to hurry and leave before i get my hand chopped off with a light saber. but we all know i would fail to get away or even slap a council member

There are sooo many time travel AUs, but this is the first one I’ve read with Obi-Wan bodily returning to the past. I’m eternally grateful that he also returned to his thirties, haha. (Ewan McGregor is a sight for the eyes.) At least the Force is merciful enough to give him good knees again. Can’t wait to read the other parts!
