About the fic though, it seriously sounds as if Mikey'd face the same thing. This totally sounds like Mikey, and the part with dearest Raphie helping him? Love it. I've always loved Brotherly RaphMike, and this was just the fic for the evening.

It sounds like you (and Mikey, by extension) have a type of synesthesia, where some of your senses associate with others. Are you more of a visual learner? Sounds like you got to a point where things suddenly clicked into place, and you took off!

I can totally see Mikey associating colors w vowels. I associate numbers w letters, catch myself pressing 3 for e, etc. Thank you for this piece, I enjoyed it.

GLORIOUS STORY! I have to admit, I also do the word/colors thing. Like Tuesday is yellow or October is orange or things like that. It's not quite the same, but I still absolutely love it! Plus, I had a hard time with reading and writing when I was little, and now I'm a writer by profession! Go figure!

Aww this one's real cute! It's totally like Raph to look out for Mikey this way. By the way, just curious, is this unique way of learning some form of dyslexia? I've read people whose TMNT headcanons include Mikey having some form of learning disability in addition to ADHD. I don't exactly agree but this fic presented it in a nice way. Proof that Mikey is way smarter than he looks. He's just got a unique way of learning things. :)

The usuage of colors into the vowels was uniquely creative. Mikey isn't stupid, he just thinks differently, or uses a longer process to get to the right answer. Cute story!

This is really cute and actually now that i think about it i do the samw thing where random words or letters are colors in my mind . i think it would be interesting if you wrote another mikey centric fic you capture his unique essence in a really well way. Update or Post soon :)

Awesome little story. Yes, I can see Mikey learning in this way to make it easier for him as sometimes we tend to learn things in different ways. For me, math was my weakest subject and I had a hard time with addition and subtraction until my LD teacher showed me the point system and assigned dots to each number. So that's how I learned, and it worked for me. And for multiplication we used what was called the Vaughn System back then and it was the easiest way to learn how to multiply. So, I can see this happening. Nicely done on this.
