So I decided to reread this story. Good stuff.

I don't fault you for leaving RWBY behind. Canon has turned into hot, festering garbage. So many different things ended up souring the series as a whole. I can't even bring myself to watch the early stuff anymore.

What I'm trying to say is thank you for writing this AU, as depressing as it is. I would have loved to know what happened to Pyrrha, how Blake got labeled as a False Maiden (probably a little mixup/pun with Fall Maiden), how Ruby, Sun, and Jaune would go about rescuing Blake, and what Weiss and Pyrrha's alliance would bring.

Well, this was interesting. I just binged the entire thing. I can't say it's my favorite fanfic - I've never been overly fond of "everything sucks and will continue to suck" fanfics myself - but it's definitely something I'm going to keep track of, on the off chance that it'll end well... or at least, bittersweet.

Predictions Now: Ruby is the sole survivor of her team, retiring from being a huntress after she's forced to kill Yang in order to stop her from going on a genocidal rampage against all of Remnant when Winter dies fighting Weiss and Qrow. Weiss is killed by Yang shortly after Winter is killed by Qrow. Blake dies to Pyrrha before Pyrrha is killed in a mutual-kill with a heartbroken Jaune, Ren and Nora vanish to spend their lives together as travelers. Ruby fixes Penny and leaves her in charge of the Atlas Army, and the fixed Penny goes about trying to undo the damage she'd helped do while broken. Sun and his team take control of the Black Sun group and work with Penny to achieve this.

I'm probably waaaaaaaaay off, but who knows, I could be correct. Maybe. Probably not.

Holy god this is amazing. I can't wait to see what happens next. I can't wait to find out how everything went to shit. What happened to Pyrrha? Why did Weiss kill Qrow? So many questions that need answers and just don't know where to start. Please, please, please, finish this story. If you do nothing else on this sight, finish this story. This is a masterpiece of intrigue.

You got me hooked and I suddenly read all the chapters at once ahhhhh QWQ I love love love this so much, thanks for what you've written so far! I'm Hoping to see this story through, if you're still interested in writing it. I've also definitely marked several scenes for fanart/fan animation (not that I can animate right now but one day, one day...). When I get to it, I'll link and credit you, with your permission to post of course.

Actually reviewing the writing and story: 10/10 story and AU, seriously. I love it. As for writing, I fuckdndidbe love so many paragraphs you've written, adding little pieces here and there that really bring the image together. Whether it's details, quotes, thoughts, short dives into the past, you really have a talent with writing. Some beautiful poetry stuff here. My favorite is when Blake tells Scarlet that reading books distracts her from her hunger. Ducking beautiful. I'll be sticking around, for sure.

I feel a little bad for Jaune and Yang. One is in dark, because Ruby overprotection (seriously, not seems which trust or acknowledge him, be in skills or capacity for handle the truth). Yang is been played for Winter, like a cannon.

I agree with Sun, Ruby have a hero complex even bigger than Jaune.

I think that AU prequel would make a great story and knowing your writing you'd do it beautifully. Also I decided finally to start reading this amazing story last night and I couldn't stop because of how interesting it is definitely one of the best RWBY fics I've ever read and can't wait to read more.

i was real glad to see a new chapter of this! the tension in literally every scene was so good, even the meeting between sun, ruby and jaune was one misstep from turning into a fight, which i loved.

i think this chapter best shows the differing level of character knowledge, and how that affects the reader trying to work things out. it's slightly confusing at first, but compelling as fuck after that. the whole 'working backwards and forwards' thing, where you have to both figure out how things played out to get so messed up, and how they will play out in the future is probably my favourite part of nevermore.

well, second favourite, behind the weiss and qrow power hour, if i'm being totally honest. i love that she said she trusted him then went and totally disregarded his advice, while fully acknowledging that it wasn't the best idea. "me? regretting something?" is definitely the line of the chapter. i feel like weiss is the most in the dark out of all the characters, being so isolated (her outdated view of neptune compared to ruby's of sun speaks to this, i think), so 'teaming up' with pyrrha seems like a good way to get her back in the mix, knowledge wise. i'm so looking forward to her reuniting with pretty much anyone at this point.

as for your pitch: it doesn't really grab me the way nevermore did, but i'd definitely be interested in reading it. i feel like the more au it leaned vs prequel, the more interested i'd be in it? but i'm basically a big uncritical chump who likes everything you write, i think.

i noticed some typos in the story, and didn't know if it would be cool to post them, or if i should pm them to you or something, or just not worry about it? lmk
