Damn took me a while sadly no internet is a pain but I'm back was shocked to know there is more to Mir in this story but how long can she keep that she used to be with ZAFT, but yes it seems Lacus has shown up which shall be good.

I first found (and started reading) this story yesterday and I must say I'm enthralled!

After trying to read multiple fics where an OC (ex-ZAFT) pilot joins the Archangel I really like reading about Makoto. She brings a different perspective to things and coupled with the other changes you've made (I LOVE what you're doing with Mir!) it makes for a really refreshing read.

I'm very intrigued where you are going with this and can't wait to read more!

Another excellent chapter, I am glad you are back at it. I do like your interpretation of Rau! Will you be taking him from the genocidal lunatic that he is? I personally had ideas of using Rau as the recent go-between for someone else, the Al Da Flaga clones being used as vessels and mediums for a particularly powerful mind (Newtype) to work through.

Mir being a coordinator and former member of ZAFT in this story is interesting, but the bombshell drop at the end of last chapter didn't really work as much of anything other than a cliffhanger/stinger hook to get people anticipating the next chapter.

In that regard it worked quite well. I do have to point out though that she's actually doing a bit to well and doing a bit too much and when things settle down long enough for people other than Mu to think about it they're going to get suspicious. His recommendation that she come out as a coordinator will help with that, but still...

I did like that you had her be somewhat clumsy with mobile suits and addressed the idea of her piloting one.

For the rest of it...I'm not all that sure. I remember where DIVINITY ended up going and I've recently reread the stand alone epilogue for that. I'm hoping this story goes in another direction and skips some of the less wholesome things that happened and eases up on the Kill-em All Tomino direction, but without all the original stories to go back and reference I'm not really sure how closely this is adhering to that particular story so it's just a general feeling.

I'm also a bit concerned with where you're taking Rau. In canon he was nihilistic long before the Bloody Valentine War even started and may even have had a hand in starting the war given how well he knew and understood the players to be able to manipulate them the way he did. So the implication that his nihilism is something new that only evolved after the war started makes me quite curious where you intend to take things...and more than a bit wary, though as we've already skipped one of the stations of canon (but failed to avoid another) I'm hoping we get something different than we did in SEED.

So an interesting chapter all around with plenty of stuff going on. That said. It is only after I recently reread this story that I noticed: that operator at the start of the story was Mir wasn't it?

Excellent work, wow... it has been a long time. I forgot the differences to the original, and the absence of Chris, lol. Of course, Makoto is still in it, and if I remember the original right, she is a similar but different kind of monster. But I am sure that Kira and Mikoto shared an origin in Mendel, and a bed at one point, if my memory serves?

I have been long sitting on my own Gundam Seed series, mostly because there is a rewrite of the series and the background changes are kind of immense. But I was inspired by the concepts of the Primarchs, from Warhammer 40K.

Interesting that Mir actually has some military training which kind of gives her a leg-up compared to the rest of her friends. I also liked Kira rebuffing Athrun here for that is something that I found kind of dumb for Athrun to do during these early battles. He knows that Kira is First Generation Coordinator hence his parents are Naturals therefore he really shouldn't have gone in with the Coordinator vs Natural mindset.

Still, this kind of reminds me of a recent SEED idea of my own where we have the Heliopolis Kids are all Coordinators, of which three of them become pilots alongside Kira. Basically having a four vs four situations during much of the battles of the early story. The Heliopolis Kids (Kira, Mir, Tolle, and Sai) against the ZAFT Red Elites (Athrun, Dearka, Yzak, and Nicol). Kira is of course still in the Strike, Mir I really do not know where to put her maybe my older sixth G-Weapon prototype the GAT-X101 Rubicon, Tolle gets my recently created Murasame precursor G-Weapon the GAT-X306 Vanguard, and Sai gets an Electronic Warfare Model G-Weapon that I haven't really put any thought into just yet. Meanwhile, Kuzzy remains on Bridge Duty thanks to him having worked onboard his Uncle's Junk Guild Transport during the last few summers, Flay takes Mir's spot on the bridge, while I don't know who takes the spots of Tolle and Sai but I am sure there some interesting characters who could either original or repurposed canon characters.

I read this without rereading the first five chapters so I was a bit lost on some things but that'll be fixed once I find the time to reread the first five chapters. Great chapter! and ugh yes Athrun's journey was... a struggle lol I love him but thinking about who he was at the start of Gundam SEED is like thinking about middle school years that you'd rather forget, except worse LOL

Probably too old of a fic for you to update anymore, but I feel it suffers from much of the same problems as the original.

Kira dosent standout. Hes the protag, and so far, hes the backburner for Makoto and co. His story is the same, Id have suggested changing it up more to make him seem a bit more interesting in comparison - you've gave the oc lots of friends/connections, maybe give Kira a new connection he didnt have before - knowing Mu La Flaga, Marrue, or something different like that...
