| WordSmyth chapter 19 . 7/24 You know, the worst thing about the movies is what they did to Hades and Persephone. Firstly, it’s summer. Persephone spends the spring and summer in the overworld and the fall and winter in the underworld. She would have never been around. Secondly, hades is portrayed as an imposing business man with who looks vaguely similar to a more handsome Adolf Hitler, not a poorly aged rock star. And the Christian devil imagery is just utter bullshit from a director/producer/writer who wouldn’t know Polybotes from Procrustes. Thirdly, the relationship between shades and Persephone is widely regarded as being the healthiest of the greek pantheon, so I doubt whipping and bondage for not taking out the trash two and a half centuries ago is in the cards. Plus, he’s the king of the underworld, all the dead are at his command, and I’m rather certain janitors and custodians aren’t immortal. Lastly, you spelled Demeter wrong. It’s not “Demetre”. I’m pretty sure you’re British judging by the prevalent use of the curse “bloody” and you like to swap ‘er’ for ‘re’ but as the word Human is not derived from the word Man, Demeter is not derived from Meter, or Metre in your case. You don’t spell Beer as Bere, nor Deer as Dere, or Betrayer as Betrayre, so don’t spell Demeter as Demetre. Her name isn’t a way of measuring De, nor is De an si prefix. |

It’s been established that the pocket dimensions are an exact copy of Earth when he uses it minus any animals. That’s why he can destroy multiple of them. It’s like making a Minecraft world with a seed, harvesting everything, then go back to your original world with the same seed with all the things he grabbed in his possession. |
