This is beyond a mere "creepy". At this level, I believe this is an art of madness, a perfectly constructed portrait of the shadows. You are a wonder with words, & the "second person" point of view is the best choice of all.

Could you imagine reading this on Halloween? Outside, when a cold draft pushes its way through you and the dead leaves, when the sun has set, yet its last few fingers of red clutch at the horizon? When darkness is fast falling, & you stand there, knowing that of course there is something out there, something much darker & more maddening than any usual person would dare to contemplate.

This is All Hallow's Eve. This is brilliance.
