A great continuation of Shinji's and Asuka's story (and the rest of the cast).

Going to favorite this, just so I can read it again sometime in the future.

A stellar read! All I wanted from a post-Third Impact, ShinjixAsuka fic and much more. A satisfying resolution but there was that "yearning for more" feeling as I slowly read the eplilogue.

Read this in one day. If only I had not binged this, I could have savored this work with a better reading pace. Now I have to nurse this book/fic hangover.

There are many fanfiction authors who want to break Asuka and make her humble and subservient. Unlike most of them, you managed to perform this task gently, without character bashing or substantional humilation. It's truly a masterpiece.

Although, some minor detail is disappointing. The bus stop encounter in chapter 28 seems to be completely unnecessary. Meek mumbling "T-toji, please don't speak in such a way to my g-girlfriend" during school lunch would show Shinji's protectiveness a way better than even breaking every bone of that moronic OC-kun.

I wish this was an Anime. Particularly the first few chapters when it’s just Shinji and Asuka. I like the Post 3I world before things get put back together, it’s interesting how they go about surviving.

Having read and re-read this story many times since I first discovered it, I can quite honestly say this is one of my favorite post-Third Impact LAS fanfics. Admittedly, I'm also quite a sucker for stories where Asuka's mother Kyoko returns for good.

The lead characters, while remaining faithful to their canon backgrounds and baseline personalities, made steady, realistic progress in rebuilding their relationships and healing each others' emotional wounds, in parallel to the recovery of the world following Third Impact. I especially appreciated your detailed exploration of Asuka's character development in coming terms with her feelings for Shinji, as well as building a better friendship with Rei.

By using resurrected MP-EVAs as Adam's Revenants his test of NERV and humanity, you've side-stepped the issue of creating new and unique non-canon Angelic threats, while at the same time keeping the battles interesting.

Perhaps the most heartwarming scene was when Touji came to visit a mentally-recovered Shinji at the Katsuragi apartment, where he immediately apology-blocked Shinji by acknowledging that the latter had done everything he could to save him during Bardiel's possession of Unit-03. A far cry from their inauspicious first meeting!

A minor quibble I found with the story were the parts along the lines of "Asuka explained to Rei what she said to Shinji earlier" - I felt these abridged recaps broke the flow and pacing of the narrative in places, and would have preferred seeing the actual conversations out in full, even if the content of the dialogue themselves were abridged. Just a personal opinion, though!

All in all, definitely an enjoyable read with a satisfying conclusion!

This is one of the few stories I’ve read on here that get better every time I read it.

In all my times reading this story, I never figured out how Shinji broke his hand or got the head wound. Obviously the hand was caused by punching something like a wall, but WHY did he do it? And when Shinji failed to get Unit 01 to activate the first time, why didn't it respond?

Great story! I like the uniqueness of Shinji being comatose and only listening to Asuka.
