Interesting to see you put the Dark Templar Saga lore in here. However, your portrayal of Zamara is off the mark. The books clearly didn't show her to be anything like what you wrote of her in this chapter. Zamara was calm and gentle, and she never showed such anger and hostility, though I admit her associations with other terrans are relatively small. I don't know if you're trying to make it this way for humor, but I feel this isn't the way to go for her.

For the ending part of this chapter, to work for Valerian would be considered a MAJOR risk. You have to remember that with the except of the Umojans, most terrans in the sector had no clue Arcturus Mengsk had a son. Even Raynor was greatly surprised upon meeting him in WoL.

Because of what happened with Arcturus, you'd think people would be very hesitant to trust Valerian. In fact, throughout the WHOLE of the SC2 trilogy, it was virtually impossible to tell if Valerian would turn out to be good or evil. This is mainly because by the time he finally became emperor at the end of HotS, the Dominion military was largely wrecked due to Kerrigan's actions for revenge. Hardly anything was rebuilt by the time Amon's offensive began, which means by the time Amon was finally beaten, the Dominion was largely wrecked. Even ruthless tyrants would understand that in such a state, it would be pointless to spring the trap in ruling the people because you don't have the military forces to subject them to your will. Only once the Dominion is rebuilt can this happen.

So as I see it, while people WANT to believe Valerian is different, there's just not enough evidence to PROVE it, not yet anyways.

Well, this story certainly has my interest. Nova vs the Admiral should be an interesting match-up, since I can't see him going quietly. Looking forward to seeing where this goes from here.
