Just a really excellent story. I'm an emotional wreck after reading it, but that's just a testament to the compelling way you wrote your characters.

Oh my gosh! So freaking cute! I love how you write Gale and Madge! Madge is always a bit of a wild card as far as characterization goes because we know so little about her, but your version of her is one of my favorites!

Also, I really enjoy the pacing of their friendship and attraction.

I am tearing through this fic, but I needed to stop and let you know how much I adored this chapter. I feel like a lot of fics don't really address Madge's mother or her friends/Gale's reactions to it. I absolutely loved how Gale thanks and hugs his mom at the end.

I love this story. I read it in 2 days. I just couldn't stop! Each chapter was a joy. I love your portrayal of Madge. How her peers disregard her but others know better of her hard work and sacrifice for her district.

And Gale! His development was so good! I was actually hoping we'd get to see Katniss shoot him down after what he did to Madge. He's a moron.

I really enjoyed this story. Interesting portrayal of Madge doing everything she can to help the district, even as she is isolated from the district. And barely holding herself together, in the process. It was nice to see Gale slowly realize just how strong Madge really was, and how much he valued their alliance.

The idea of the Mayor as a *very* absentee father, and her mother ahving violent fits, was an unusual twist. Added an interesting dynamic. And the fact that it was Madge who ultimately walked away from Gale (albeit reluctantly) was another unusual development. Stupid Gale! Looking forward to the sequel!

Read the whole fic in one go. I absolutely loved the realistic approach towards the Gadge relationship. I think that's what encouraged me to read this. I feel really sorry for Madge and I hope Gale redeems himself in the sequel.

I read this entire thing in a few days and I really enjoyed your interpretation of the Madge/Gale relationship. I love the way you wrote them honestly, flaws and all. I think that honesty was really compelling. I was always intrigued with the flow of the story and looking to read more. I look forward to your next story. I'm truly interested in how your quell will differ and the introduction of Katniss and Peeta. I also can't wait to see more of your characters. The Hawthorne's, Prim, Embry and Nedy were all well done. The juxtaposition of Nedy and Embry was great.
