A lowkey yandere loli basilisk fighting with Ginny over Harry? Sign me the hell up!

After reading the summary I was skeptical, but the fic (what there is of it) is fun and the basilisk is adorable.

I had a pretty interesting conjecture once on why Parseltongue was considered Dark. I thought that it felt too easy for it to just be nothing but a label slapped on from prejudice against Slytherin.

A Parselmouth can hold a conversation with snakes. Snakes aren't capable of language-not that they don't speak, but they physically don't have a brain made to form word and speech patterns. The sounds of Parseltongue also don't sound anything like actual snakes. My idea was that it is a speech-based magic that basically shoves temporary shards of artificial souls into the serpent, forcing the lower lifeform into temporarily behaving on a higher level, and that the snakes would slowly and agonizingly die over a period of time unless magically strengthened because they flat-out don't have the grey matter needed to behave like they do.

An awesome story I would love to get an update of!

That last scene was fantastic. Of course getting gold coins would change Vernon's mind, and they would have quite a stash piled up from the over a decade of unused stipend. This story is very fun and enjoyable as a whole so far, so I look forward to more.

I hope to see this story continued. Especially with the revelations of the last chapter regarding wizarding finances and the Dursleys.

Is this finished? It hasn't been updated in a while and you seemed to leave off in a convenient spot, even if you didn't have any concluding thoughts. I'd like to see it continued; a novel premise amusingly executed.

this story is great. I like how you handled the whole stipend thing now the only thing is what is the galleon to pound ratio in this fic. If it is based on gold content the Dursleys are getting a lot of money.

This story is really interesting, certainly an underused pairing choice.

Scotpick: Hogwarts is in the north of Scotland, there is no way that the lake would be warm enough to swim in during the month of May. Even during the summer Scottish lochs are rarely warm enough to swim in safely
