It's good to know that you're still writing this. I found this story between the upload dates of this chapter and the last one, so I wasn't sure about the status. As for the chapter, nice work. From the sound of it, that flashback at the beginning is Amber receiving her maiden powers. Also, I'm looking forward to Requiem's rescue mission and to see who they encounter.

I really hope you continue this story some day. I had a blast reading this. All the character building was great.

First off I would like to say I discovered you on deviant art before I ever found your Fanfic profile. With that said I'm to ask one question. Is this going to tie into your Mother Maiden AU in anyway? With that out of the way let's talk story. I like it, dives into Pyrrha's life was a good idea. Usually the stories i find about her is usually her and Jaune hooking up like in the first chapter or so. Nice to see it wont happen here exactly. Her parents I can see happening in canon almost, being very protective and focusing on her appearance and fighting then emotions. Love Gus, is it bad that I picture him looking like Dooku, because after that training scene I can't stop. Neptune and Sun where written well, I couldn't stop grinning at every line they said.
Now the parts about her brother are nice as well. Trying to protect people that can't protect themselves, but is kind of on the wrong side of the law. It's done well and I like him.
If I had to say anything that I didn't like is how emotional Pyrrha is. Not saying that's a bad thing at all, just done a little to much for my taste and it doesn't take anything away from the story so far.
I hope you continue this story and it seems you might and I hope you post the two chapters of Mother Maiden on here along with the third chapter. Speaking of which I read your timeline for MM and I'm extremely looking forward to it. ;)

It's great to see this fic being officially continued! I understand diverting from canon can prove to be a challenge, yet it definitely provides plenty of opportunities to build a great fanverse. Either way, I hope everything goes well on your end, and I look forward to seeing more of this story in the future.

Nice to see this fic getting an official update! While departing from canon can be a challenge, it certainly opens up plenty of great plot paths to explore. I, for one, am definitely interested in seeing where this story will go.

Reading the prologue really makes me wonder how bad this treatment of discharged students is in the other Kingdoms. Heck how do we even someone as well spoken of as Summer Rose took part in such acts of cruelty, would definitely shatter Ruby if such was the case.
