Batman made his point but the... shadow clearly doesnt see the full picture, it stubbornly believe he is doing the right thing.

Nice and tight noir horror tale here.

Us know, barring the killing, Dr Fate could've been describing the Batman when speculating about the behavior and motives of Gotham' s New visitor. I bet Fate knew this even as he said it...that helmet could hide a lot of smirks.
Indeed, a third party walking in and not knowing the context, but knowing Bruce, could've assumed Fate was critiquing him in the third person!
Of course, the Barman wouldn't see the resemblance and parallels, or even agreed a little if he did. He never does. Nice to see Bruce always having that fallible blind spot or two in his world view! Makes things more interesting I think...
