I kinda agree with you, the only thing that keeps me loosely tied to rwby is a few really good writers taking the world and flipping it, expanding it or tossing it for a new one. The lack of character growth, year long time skips, increasing issues with pacing and a lack of decent writing has driven me further from the show every season.

you know the sad thing is your right about just about everything rwby isnt the same since monty passed away after season 2 before season 3
also some guy in the reviews for some reason saying monty had barely ideas before he got the assistant writers completely false pretty sure monty had multiple vols pre-planned which is why he could say thing about the future and he hadnt planned for any character death until liked vol 7 (which after he passed a large amount died in vol 3) and he was debating about pyrrha death even then as she was to strong all it throw things out of balance said planning which went to waste after he passed
also it maybe years old being around season 3 but this was said they went with a new direction for a lot in monty friend and helpers letter that broke the non disclosure agreement

Yeah i kinda felt that to, as most fandom in RWBY just focus on the first 3 volumes and just tidbits onwards or ignored, there's a Youtuber that opened a community Discord Addendum for his RWBY World Rebuilding 'RWBY, but Better'. I really like the Backstory just from the start as it makes more sense.

JFC I don’t have problem with you not liking the show, I really do understand why. That said, calling miles and Kerry nothing but “Writing assistants” is idiotic. Monty literally had nothing but ideas before he went to them. Almost everything that’s recognizable as RWBY came about because of Miles and Kerry. That’s not just me saying that either. Monty himself said he had no idea how to write a story.

Blaming the drop in animation quality on his death is fine, but you need to get your head out of your ass if you think it effected the writing in any way except that they had to cut or delay certain things that they couldn’t animate as well as they would’ve wanted.

You’re literally spot on with your dislike of what’s going on. I literally stopped watching the show once I saw they were trying to force bumblebee onto us, got into an argument with other first members about that. The only reason I’m on this site is because all the writers on here are more creative than the two idiots writing the show right now. It’s unfortunate you won’t continue this one because of it, but I can definitely see why you wouldn’t continue with it.

i fully agree with you its said that i started reading fanfictions with far better story telling than the actual show...i mean as of last season it feels like the bad guys are no longer a threat, the heroes are all basically lesbians,gay, or trans for no reason whatsoever(would have been fine with it if it made since) and the fight scenes seem rushed and stale. some examples of this everyone getting on ozpin for things way put of his control, that sloppy mech fight, and dont even get me started on bumble bee and how adam went spiteful terrorist to a borderline rapist.

so it sounds like now that monty is gone your done with the rwby stories instead of keeping on in memory of the stuff you like that monty did.
