This is a really good read. Kallus is one of my favorite characters, and I'm really grateful that you shared this amazing one-shot.

In all seriousness, this is probably one of my favourite Star Wars: Rebels fics (and that's odd because I severely dislike the show). It's well written and reflects realistically on the final scene of the episode. Bravo!

This was a good look at Kallus, though if Yularen's remains a Colonel in the ISB then Kallus wouldn't be reporting to him anymore. When dealing with the Spectres in Legends of the Lasat, Konstantine refers to Kallus as "sir," and as an Admiral he would outrank Colonels.

Very interesting to read. It's quite heart-breaking for Kallus, tho...

I really love this. Of all the post-"The Honorable Ones" Kallus stories, I adore this the most. It's long, written wonderfully and with great characterization, and I basically just enjoyed the entire thing. Kallus' mindset, thoughts, and the way he started questioning everything was perfect. Great job.

Overall it was pretty good - I liked the descriptions of Kallus' thought process and its connection to his internal conflict, that was very well done.

However, I don't think that you captured Yularen very well. Yularen was always a very decent, considerate man, even after Order 66 when the Republic became the Empire. He'd be a lot more sympathetic towards Kallus than most other people. Definitely more sympathetic than Konstantine. He wouldn't be that harsh with him after an ordeal like that.

I really enjoy how you've portrayed Kallus in this fic; it really gives insight into how the "bad guy's" mind works when he does believe in what he works for, though Zeb's encounter with him has obviously given him some beginning doubts. However, I really do not know what direction Kallus could go in, whether the story writers are gonna pull a Zuko on us, or if they'll just leave him where he is with the Empire. But this is still an incredible fic; keep writing, please!

When I read this, I felt reassured. When I saw the way you word your sentences, the right amount of internal dialogue and paragraph lengths, I thought, “This story is in good hands.”

You filled in the gaps posed by the episode well and delivered what I wanted to see and more. Well done and good on you for taking your time to write this. Your patience and effort shows.

YAAAAASSSS This last part was the reason I loved that episode and the parts of Zeb and Kallus 'bonding' I really lie this because it kinda fills in some blanks that the shown left behind XD
