I have to say that I think Tonks and Fleur are perfect - I feel like Tonks has the ability to look beyond looks - not just because of canon of her looking past Remus' Werewolf status and age and stuff...

But because she could look as beautiful as anything, but she chooses to look like she does, with pink hair (which I believe would be her true looks without the metamorphasis). Looks don't mean anything to her and that's so clear. Of course she would see the girl inside of Fleur, the strong girl who needs to prove herself.

I love Fleur's thoughts about her past, about her parents wanting her to return and how she was treated because of her looks and why she joined the Triwizard.

I think this flowed so well, and I've read a handful of this pairing before, but this is the best Fleur/Tonks I've read so far.

This was very well written and I like that you focused so much on Fleur at the start, showing that she wasn't just a vain and stuck up girl - that she was more, before introducing her relationship.

I didn't notice mistakes or anything either. Great story :D

Oooh I really like your characterization of Fleur in this. Somehow, despite everything we learn about her in canon, I can totally imagine her as someone who's sick and tired of everybody staring at her like she was either a bloody strip of cloth or a piece of meat, and that she was just as sick and tired of this whole Veela-thing simply because of that.
This is actually one pairing I haven't seen before, but it actually seems pretty plausible now that I've read a story about it. It'd kind of work as a love-hate relationship in my mind, and I love love-hate relationship with good dynamics.
i also liked that this turned out to be a bit of fluffy goodness despite everything Fleur was thinking about her past and present.

Awwww. Dora/Fleur is such an unexpected pairing (for me at least, I've never read it before) but I love it, how Tonks can change her appearance at will and so much of Fleur's life has been defined by her appearance. Tonks asking Fleur if she wants to watch the storm was, again, unexpected, but it shows that Tonks knows her really well, and it was sweet.

How interesting! I admit I'm not the biggest fan of femslash, which is to say not at all, I enjoyed reading this. I don't read a lot about Fleur so seeing your interpretation of her background is enjoyable. They, strangely enough, make a good pair, or perhaps it's just your writing.:p Well done! :D

What a nice love story! You brought together two characters who could truly fit together, preconceptions (including mine) not withstanding. The Veela whom everyone hates and doesn't appreciate and Metamorphmagus, every man's fantasy girl. Both broken and in such similar ways.

Not matter the time in canon or any other consideration, two people who are whole together.

This was wonderful. I thought it was very sweet and so nice to read. There were hints of angst and the fluff near the end was lovely. I really enjoyed reading this and I don't think I spotted any SPaG issues. To be honest, I don't think I saw any issues in it. The story was the perfect length, perfect flow and wonderfully written. I really enjoyed this. Well done.

I've never read a fan fiction story that focuses on Fleur's background, and I think this portrays it accurately. I can definitely imagine Fleur's beauty is a hindrance to her, as it stops people from seeing other qualities. She's loved by men, and hated by women, and that must be tough for her to deal with. I loved how she rebelled against her parents by heading to Hogwarts and putting her name into the goblet of fire, and I can imagine their horror when they find out about her relationship with Tonks.

What an interesting pairing! I have to admit I'd never have thought of it, but I really liked what you did there. I feel like they'd fit together (I have no idea why there aren't more friendship stories for them at least, since femslash is kind of rarer than other types of pairing for some reason...), what with Fleur being pretty because she's part Veela and Tonks being able to look like anyone... They do have a lot in common.
The storm part was lovely too, and that last line was just too cute :)

I really loved this take on Fleur. I loved how you showed a different side to her here, that isn’t just shallow, and actually gave her character a lot of depth. The only suggestion I have is that maybe you could try altering the line [the first rumble of thunder rumbled ahead] to only include [rumble] once. This was perfect, and I absolutely loved this.

I loved that Fleur finally managed to find someone who liked her for her personality rather than someone who was solely focussed on her appearance. And it was great that she could finally be happy.

Oooooohhhhh, I love unusual pairings like this. It's so exciting to read, especially when they're written so well.

I absolutely adored you getting into Fleur's head here, because we all know she is much more than a pretty face, and vain. I liked that Fleur wanted this too, because despite what we know she did give off that vain appearance.

That was short and beautiful, like a little bouquet of sweet smelling flowers. I have wondered many a times what Fleur might really think of her beauty, and your view is very realistic and agreeable. Fleur and Tonks don't make theost conventional of pairings, but you made even that beautiful and convincing. Bravo!
