OMG. I didn't know I was a big romantic till I became a zennie. Stories like these where JH are written as soulmates, a very deep concept, warm my soul. You did an excellent job of drifting through the years and the shift in character thoughts. Very very nice.

I'M IN LOVE WITH THIS. It doesn't matter if it is short, is so cute and original! You are right, this is a better idea than the "first words/last words" tattoo one. I also liked that the marks appear in different stages of life for everyone? Like Hyde knew Jackie existed for him since he was six, while Jackie knew until she was a teenager. Interesting.

Hyde's struggle believing he is worth of love will always amaze me and I'm happy you took that and put it on your fanfic, because is part of the character in a way. It makes me happy to think one day he will understand he is so worthy and capable of love, and that he will share that with Jackie and the people he care about the most.

The finale scene is the best. I was wondering what Jackie's mark must say. I though it would be 'grasshopper', since he calls her that. But it melted my heart to read the 'stay'. It must be also a very pretty mark, even with Hyde's messy handwriting. How beautiful, that your soulmate's most important words to you would be 'STAY'. Like all the implicatons around and behind it are just- ugh, beautiful.

I absolutely adore everything about this story! I love that you weren't afraid to incorporate Hyde's belief that the universe seems to constantly work against him, Jackie's fear of being unwanted because no one ever asks her to stay or stays with her, and then of course there can never ever be enough soulmate stories. I think it was a great idea to use phrases that were meaningful as opposed to first words and I really enjoyed your layout for the story as well. It read very easily and it was such a sweet read!

There's a movie called Timer that has a very similar premise to this story. If you haven't watched it I think you would be a person who could truly enjoy it. Anyways, I found this to be one of my most favorite stories I've read in a long time. In fact, one of the ONLY stories I've read in a long time.

This short little piece was one of the most heartfelt things I've seen in so long. Poignant and tender, beautiful and hauntingly sad.
