The whole investigation part was pretty well written. Felt clever with the reasoning from all.

Well, I mean you could have done what some ZnT fics do and just have Derf morph into a better shape for Sojiro out of sight of the shopkeep. Either way, I'm liking the story so far, despite having only very vague memories of both series.

This crossover was interesting until you brought in another crossover character. That's a quick way to sour things and just make everything stupid. So this super specific thing that brought this character in with a million to one chance managed to happen a second time? Fucking stupid. It also confuses the narrative and Soujiro's path is now marred by him not having to just nut up and figure out the world with someone he's used to right there. I would've liked a warning earlier on about this not being a solo thing so I didn't waste time on this.

Amazing story abdoyamazing. The plot the characters just great all round.
