Fanatastic story. I like how you covered topics from The Love God episode that most people probably wouldn’t have thought about. Great job!

I like Wendy as a character but didn't like her in the Love God episode. To tell Dipper he's one of the gang and then push everyone aside over an ex-boyfriend when no one else did anything wrong? Even for teens that's pretty poor. Felt like they just shoehorned it in for drama. At Dipper's expense especially. You pointed this out very well while showing that they can do better.

it all works out in the end, as long as you keep talking it out. nice story,with a ton of feels!

Great work! I love the dialogue here, so well written. A great Wendy and Dipper friendship story that fills in the missing pieces.

Also, I like the little bit from "Not What He Seems" that you used. "He wanted to believe her...but..." It seemed like you flashed back to Dipper's journal of "Trust No One" and placed it with Wendy. It totally worked for his breakdown with Wendy.

Do you name your stories after bands? Or a parody of them? Like bowling for forgiveness for example. I don't know if it was a parody of Bowling for Soup. Or if you named this due to the band Real Friends. I'm just curious. Good story btw. Since it was titled 'Real Friends' I thought it was gonna be sad lol.

Nice one-shot. I think this was first story I read in which Wendy is suspicious over the issue with Dipper and Mabel in the past.

OMG! Wendip is like one of my OTPs. (I know you're only supposed to have one, but nobody does.) This is really well written, Wendy especially. I think you captured Dipper's sense of abandonment and Wendy's remorse perfectly. I really enjoyed reading it. Great job!

Like Dalukes said, I can accept this as canon, I would normally give some more in-depth critique, but really I liked this short fic, I suggest you just have a friend or someone (maybe an English Major), look over your stuff before you post, you could, it you I want, do it yourself, but peer-review is a handy tool to use here. I believe the excuse that the show hints towards when concerning the teens in the "Love God" was that "well, that's how teens act..."

It was kinda crushing to have Wendy hype Dipper on his first concert, only to totally forget about him afterwards. I'm sure she didn't t mean it but still...

Despite his intelligence and wisdom, Dipper Pines is still a child - and perhaps it took seeing such trivial things though a child's eyes to make Wendy realize something was off..(although Dip tends to hide his sensitive side on the show versus Mabel)

Major props for having the twins reveal the truth about Robbie. And even more so with the reveal of Wendys crush.

Though everyone seems to forget about poor Nate and his crush...oh, well. Seems he's cool with it now

I ACCEPT THIS AS CANON. ALEX CAN'T TELL ME NO BECAUSE THE SHOW'S OVER.

All joking aside, I really do accept this as canon. Beautifully written with a lot of insight on the events of the show up to the point in this story and a lot of character development that makes sense with the rest of the chronological events of the show. Mental aspects of the characters are on point too.
