This was lovely. I was pretty disappointed when I realized that Nevermore wouldn't have much brotherly interaction in it, but this was a good patch. He's not Caliban's Nik but he's still Niko and when Cal is sick and doped up that's good enough. Now I just have to wait for Rob Thurman to let us know what really happened. I'm not particularly patient about waiting...

Heart breaking in several different layers, but beautiful. Older cal's grief is staggering. I feel bad for young cal who has no idea how to handle all this. I would be territorial as all hell too. He's only got Nik and the others seem to have each other. It'd feel a lot like rejection. Plus even Nik must feel foreign right now since he's opening up to strangers in a way he's never done before. I could do without all the verbal abuse toward young cal, too. You can't be abusive and then complain about the attitude it cultivates in the victim. I hate that.
