Please tell me when are you going to write the next chapter. I have really loved elfen lied anime and I was so depressed noticing that there weren't any shows coming that would serve as sequel to this masterpiece. And honestly, out of all the elfen lied fanfics I read, yours was the only one I liked that seemed like a canon story of what happens after the end of the anime. And I really love this story as it is, but please write some lemon chapters, I wanted to read a lemon about Lucy and Kouta from long time.

Thanks for the update! I had pretty much given up on this one as so many of the fics I've read never get finished. So I'm happy to hear that this will be finished in the near future.

I, like most other readers, guessed Lucy's rebirth before chapter 6, but I must say, I wasn't at all expecting to read anything about her mother. It was - ironically due to "how" she appeared - a pleasant surprise for me as a reader to read something so unexpected.
I also profoundly enjoyed the references you made. Really, who would've thought Lucy read Sun Tzu. It could be one of the reasons she is so good at fighting! ... Not really, but it was funny regardless.
And an identity/existential crisis was another thing that surprised me. I've studied a lot on the subject, so I think Lucy's case is very intriguing. It reminds me of the theoretical clone experiment (not sure if that's how you say it in English).
But, although I liked these and many other parts of the story, I don't wholly approve of the quick changes in the "mood" of the story. How should I put it, it seemed like the genre of the story kept alternating as the chapter went. One moment everyone is tense, sad or serious etc then on the other someone is cracking a joke or acting like the previous events didn't happen. Also, nana felt so unimportant this chapter even though she was with the main characters on some of the most important parts of the chapter. I don't even like her, but her lack of participation felt odd.
Of course, that is simply my opinion.
The chapter was good and I look forward to the next one.

Good to know you're determined to conclude this fic. Better to see evidence of that by another chapter being added.

I can only hope the ending of this isn't as disappointing as the canon (manga or anime). I don't think quality will be a problem, if what you've written thus far is any indication. As for how it all ends, if major characters end up sharpening the reaper's scythe is another thing entirely.

I think there's been more than enough hints so far regarding the facilitation of Lucy's 'rebirth', but I'll keep the theory to myself.
