If you have writer’s block all is fair. But after four years you’re better off editing the title and/description at this point to say hiatus. They’ll shut down update requests hard in my experience from what other authors have said.

Mate, it’s been 4 years and no chapter. That’s what’s commonly called abandoned. If it just ain’t your style anymore then delete it and make a new story, it’s only a chapter.

I would first like to apologize on the behalf of all my fellow readers who have criticized, demeaned, or insulted you. You do this for free and in reality don't owe us anything. That said however it's been 4 years since you rebooted the original chapter to your account. Hell you havent even brought the other 16 chapters to this account. I am not telling you what to do nor can I however at some point you either post a new chapter or cancel the story. I favorited the story so I am not going to say update soon or anything like that but cant wait for a real update.

I don't quite understand the people that send the author PMs demanding new chapters. Authors are doing this for free (might be exceptions), and have the full authority to take as long as they need to post new chapters or even abandon a story. We as readers should not demand for anything.
Constructive criticism is almost always welcomed but demands and whining? Not so much.
We should be glad that there are people who have the imagination to create something out of anything.
I know I don't have the imagination needed for it.
If a reader is unsatisfied with the author, they are more than welcome to create their own story and see how it feels to have demands placed on their shoulders by anonymous people who do not know the stress or temporary lack of inspiration to create continuation to the story.

As of writing this I'm really tired and going to sleep. So come morning I might wonder what I was on about, but at this moment this this feels like the right thing to say.

Dude, why did you even bother on adopting this story at all then? why dont you release it for others to adopt if you are going to limit yourself to the MCU? It feels like a slap in the face for the fans of the old version that you adopted it and left it abandoned for years after a single chapter and then post a second chapter talking about writer block and how you dont feel like following up with the original setting.
