I loved how you tackled this idea! Barry's initial exhilaration at experiencing pure speed, his desperation crystallising in "Help me" and the agonising slowing of time when he realises it was destabilising him, the weight of his want for that initial speed high, the guilt for wanting it, and that guilt finding ultimate expression in silence... The complexity of Barry's emotions here was amazing. I read this awhile ago, but in the time between reading it and writing this review, I was still thinking about this fic. I think it was Barry's implicit realisation that he isn't that far off from becoming like Trajectory or Zoom, speedsters crazed by the high of pure speed, and how you conveyed that realisation, that kept me marvelling over this piece. You gave us a look into Barry's potential heart of darkness, so to speak. Beautifully done. Thank you for sharing this.

Awesome, awesome writing. I've actually read this like three times today, just because I thought it was such an intriguing concept! Ugh, this is so good, I need more... so many freakin feels. If you could write more about the V-9 and your ideas on that, I honestly think it would be just as awesome as this.

I am blown away. This had rythm that was ELECTRIC. I loved this line, "A liquid state of dread." And 'driving him to madness' was brilliant.
