I think I initially (first 10-15 chapters) liked Less than Zero a lot more than this story, and while I would probably still give it the edge it's gotten pretty close. In terms of the crucial characters that we encounter in both stories I'm more familiar with the DC ones in comparison to the X-Men characters we've met so far. Which just means that it took a little time to get invested in this story as opposed to getting introduced to Catwoman, Batman, Deathstroke etc off rip. Which makes what you've done with this story all the more impressive because from my perspective, I had no knowledge about any of the characters besides the senior X-men and you were still able to build them up into an excellent cast in my mind. Also in terms of relationships what you're doing with Laura is just great.

Chapter was good, the omake was amazing

I just can't continue reading. The reaction of the students and the faculty to the danger room killing 2 students is so underwhelming that it's frustrating. Hell, do you know what happens when something bad happens to a student in a school and the teachers were found negligent? Yeah, someone's head will be on the block.

Not only that but the protagonist is pathetic. He never won a single fight from chapter 1-12 (unless you call survivng as winning sure) and he never seemed to improve either. I'm not against losing but if keeps failing without even a slightest sliver of satisfying conclusion in a fight, it starts to become boring to read.

It's ironic that the main character hates losing when he never won a fight, argument or banters.

There's no development in his character or powers and he's still the same super angsty teenager from the beginning.

TLDR: The whole story sucks.

Great story, this is the kind of story that got me to love fanfiction. There's great character development, none of the characters are just empty husks meant to progress the story. And have I said how much the interactions between Eddie and Bellamy crack me up.

I noticed that Bellamy has more or less stopped complaining about the fact that his codename is Solaris, unlike the earlier chapters, where he constantly complained about how "lame" his codename was. Nice piece of character development for Bellamy, whose progress has been interesting to watch, to say the least.

This and Less Than Zero are my favorite comic fics. I agree with some of the comments, you should definitely be writing for Marvel or directing MCU movies.

I don't know if you were hinting at it earlier, but the thought just occured to me, are we gonna get to see Bellamy and Kid Omega throw down?

I haven't kept up to date with Marvel stuff what point in the timeline is this that Professor X is gone?

Fam I'm so glad I never read new mutants so I can enjoy this proper, love your story and love bellamy, hands down best original character I ever read, and the most realistic teenager ever to be in a book. Hope you write more

Things with Laura seem to be going well, both physically and emotionally, at least thus far. Still a lot of landmines in that relationship, but hopefully they can both work through them.
