I really like your story. Actually, I always wondered why such shinobis as Kakashi, Kurenai and Asuma would teach their students so poorly, especialy while watching Team Minato (despite similarities they were better and maybe it wasn't time of war but... seriously? these children are their future and when they have poor education so will have next generation), but clan politics is reasonable explanation (considering this probably it was mentioned in manga...)
But my favourite thing in your story is actually Rin and Kakashi scene - I really see it happening (so in character), and completely love it :)

I like the idea behind the story, but everything is moving along kind of fast, and I'm not down with the characterization of many of the characters. I can imagine Kakashi being realistic and not pulling any punches with his genin, but I can't imagine him being as harsh as he was to Naruto in chapter 2, whom he had to know was mistreated and not given a fair chance at the academy (what with him being the jinchuuriki and being ignored by everyone except for Iruka, the Ichiraku, and the Hokage). And it honestly feels like you're trying to make Naruto more stupid than he was in canon by having Sakura be knowledgeable about the bell test and Sasuke knowing the way genin cells work when neither of them originally had any idea about those things. Naruto wasn't the smartest, I get that, but none of them realized the goal of the bell test was teamwork until after they failed. This is an au, yeah, but to me it just really feels like you're trying to put Naruto down and have him be the dumbest of the group because he didn't know things that neither Sasuke nor Sakura originally knew either.

Sort of a decent fic. Kakashi being all hardcore on training. Seeing a lot of issues in plot tho. Like Kakashi mentioning Naruto's parents when he still does not know who they are. That should have been a big deal. Also, you would think Kakashi would have had Naruto train with clones. Not to mention, there is no way Naruto's chakra is good enough to do Rasengan before learning tree walking and water walking. So while the pverall story is good, the plot progression is really weak.

I like where this story is going, its realistic to the character's personallity without exaggerating their qualities. I also like the character developments for team 7. Hopefully it is not discontinued since its hard to find good ff where character's abilities are not exaggerated and their development is realistic. Also, hopefully you ship Sasuke with Sakura.
In the next chapter will you have sasuke activate his sharigan, it would be nice if he activated when protecting sakura. You should consider having Kakashi give them weights like lee had while training later or especially to sasuke to placate his desire to grow stronger while naruto leards low level wind justus and being able to create many shadow clones. Or having sakura train with gai-sensie ( i probably spelled that wrong) to improve on her weekness with tijustu. Are they going to do the tree exercize soon.
