The cruse has been quite nice. At first when I read that Naruto would be smarter and the rest thought I would not stick with the story, but after seeing Naruto it is not that different from the original "Guess" of course I like the fic and stayed. The fights don't sound bad, just a little strange for me so far. I think you lengthen the fight between Naruto and shikamaru, Naruto is supposed to be smarter in theory, it should be easier to beat him. In addition to making Naruto comment that it is unfair to use clones, someone from DB reminded me that both of them would not attack an enemy because it would be unfair. I think it does not sound good and less in a ninja. However, the most normal thing in this confrontation is that Shikmaru would have given up from the beginning or soon after a bit of fighting. well anyway it was entertaining.

I'm more than a little annoyed by the effect of the chakra on naruto. Yes it can put him into a haze and yes it took time for him to be able to seal with more and more levels of it.

But this much effect on him with just a trickle? Not even cloak level and hes bisecting and doing all this shit not only without issue but feeling joy? Since when did it affect him so much at this level? It's not even the kyuubi itself it's Ahri. Ahri who isnt being overwhelmed and is still in her normal non fox form that the chakra is coming off of in a trickle she couldn't even notice.

It seemed like naruto still had chakra left and needlessly got impatient when neji was going to run out then burnt himself out on his last attack.

Honestly peppering him with shadow shuriken and his initial strategy would've had neji burn through his chakra fast and gotten it done with. Forcing kaiten after kaiten.
