A good NaruTema story is incredibly hard to find, so kudos to you for writing this one.

Temari's way of talking though... It doesn't sound at all like canon Temari. Rather, It kinda feels like you were trying to emulate that sorta-kinda formal way of speaking people from the middle East tend to have? Is that so? I'm not complaining. In fact, it's good to have the focus you had here on the cultural differences. But it's what jumped out at me.

Poor Ino tried so hard to play matchmaker. Did Temari simply not understand that (since even, no, since *especially* smart people can be incredibly oblivious to matters of heart) or did she think if she refused to acknowledge it Ino would drop it? Because her talk of friendship, Ino wanting her friends to get along, etc. makes it seem it's obliviousness. Hmmm...

But dude, I kept expecting these lines in the first chapter would be referenced again:

[ Temari's visits were always curt, short things when Shikamaru was involved. She went in, she saw Shikamaru, and her mood was soured by his complaints about his mother, his job, even Ino herself, right to her face. Ino never seemed to mind, doing nothing more than tell him off for it, but Temari didn't like it at all. ]

Perhaps Temari would attempt to explain to Ino why she dislikes Shikamaru referencing this. Because yeah, a man who is not only lazy, but keeps complaining left and right about the women near and dear to his heart all the time? Fun to watch in anime and movies, but not the least bit attractive in real life. It's incredibly off-putting actually.

The fears Temari had about their living arrangements were very valid, and I'd wonder how they'd solve it. Because it would, at some point, have to end up with Temari moving to Konoha, since as jinchuuriki, Naruto is pretty much shackled to Konoha forever.

Of course knowing how canon ends up, what with the ridiculous power upgrades of the 4th war arc? Distance isn't an issue at all, for Naruto. :DDDD

I love how you wrote Temari and the way she narrates what happens around her. It feels just a little bit stilted, but not in a bad way. More like it's her personality. It's different and so interesting. Thank you for writing this!
