what a great chapter i really like this story his conviction her doubt it really hits home really hits the feelings.

Ah this is just so good.

I really love how you portray Cortana's inner struggle and John's refusal to let her give up on herself, or his inability to give up on her himself. In the wake of Halo 5 it makes this so much more painful to read but it is a good painful.

A strong story portraying the pain that Cortana feels, how she is seen by others (I mean on the same level as the Gravemind! It does make sense but still, ouch!) and how she sees herself. One of the things I love the most is that everything wasn't just wrapped up, she felt possibly even worse by the end, and you didn't have her reveal her love to him. While I myself am a Chief/Cortana shipper it is right that she didn't say it out loud.

Anyway love it!
