Loved the line about Palmer outdoing Abby in the crying stakes and using the stapler to bug Gibbs.

I liked this one, including Gibbs' conniving to get things where he wanted them to be. It's hard to see him as having the skill he's said to here, but it works for the story.

One thing, though: Americans almost (and that's probably giving it more likelihood than is accurate) never use the word pissed to mean drunk - it always means mad (as in pissed off). The only time I can recall it being used that way by anyone here, and even that was really rare, was after Tubthumping came out, but only when it was a hit. After that, nothing.

Your stories are good; hope you'll keep writing. This one was terrific. I love McNozzo...

Oh, this is PERFECT! The incomprehensible shifts in Gibbs' attitude and behavior toward Tony are all part of a bizarre plot by Gibbs to fix a mistake he can't admit he made. It makes so much sense, I can't believe I didn't see it before. :-)

You know, I really wish you were one of the writers on the show. You could have made a lot of things so much better!

I love the double deviousness... I'd have said that Gibbs's was a bit more benign than T&T's until you reminded me with Jackson's imagined 'why', and the fact that Gibbs didn't have an answer. Sadly, I sometimes think that his driving force these days is simply sheer bloody-mindedness.

This is a wonderful little goodbye. Liked that Tony and Tim were working together to set things to right, but also liked that Gibbs wasn't just a bastard with no real justification for treating Tony like crap. Enjoyed the tongue-in-cheek was Gibbs was plotting to get himself "found out" so he could go ahead and retire. Thanks for the laugh.
