And if you want a comment on the actual writing here, Ranma's info dump should have stopped before it got to Akane's feelings. Those belong in the "show, don't tell" category. Their hers to express, not his.

Rape is such a shamefully craven tactic by which to "redeem" a character. It shows complete creative bankruptcy. Ascension is fundamentally broken because of this nonsense. It is easily the worst thing I've ever read from you here or anywhere else, and this is a sad reminder of what should have just stayed buried.
