This is honestly one of my favorite stories on this site - and, unlike other readers, who somehow reproached you for not keeping Damon more firmly within the limits of the canon, I consider this only increases the particular savor of the story and personalizes in a seductive way the profile of our most beloved character.

Damon's desire to know his father (somewhat counterbalanced by his fear of failure or disappointment) is in fact one hundred percent human, as representing one of the essential elements that differentiates man from animals: his desire to know where he comes from, the preoccupation with history, and mainly with the personal history... I can not wait to see how he will evolve from now on, given that hopefully he'll get rid of this tragic feeling of uprooting and not-belonging. To physically and spiritually heal, your Damon really needs a whole network of social relations, he needs affection, he needs love. And I love here the connection with TVD, as you suggest that Elena's love for him may be not quite sufficient to counterweight his huge need of affection, but it brings Love in his life - and that means a lot, that means the world!

Please don't abandon this story! I'd love to read it until the end!

I love this story, but I just don't like the way you are making people treat Damon. I mean, Damon are strong and he was able to deal with Giuseppe all these years, but this don't make better Lily abandoned him.
And I think Damon must choose another therapist, beacause talking about the woman that abandoned you with the husband of this woman doesn't work, Julian will always try to defend Lily.

Reading this story and mainly this chapter I thought more and more at what Mother Teresa said about the lonely, unloved people: "one of the greatest diseases is to be nobody to anybody"... Well... your Damon is a complex character, whose tragic dimension is well explored, well exploited and well controlled. Moderation and equilibrium seems to be your motto. In this regard and also regarding the lovemaking. Loved it! :)

I am so into this story right now, and I have a feeling I know who Damon's father is. I could be wrong, but I do think it's someone we already know, someone who has the same eye color. I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

I just loved their first time together it was so romantic and just what she needed after hearing such hateful conversations s about her and him after his meeting with the therapist. I love how they heal other

I think this is my favorite chapter... So emotional and tragic.. . I think you should change it to M, and I would LOVE more flashbacks of Damon's past..
