This is Exactly the Overwatch fan fiction I desire to read. A short one with rich character, appropriately using official background to make content abundant while leaving logical space for imagination and settings of your own. Plus a few bites of humor and thought-provoking epilogue — a top-notch epilogue to a story is similar to the cherry on the cake, I suppose.

Your work is amazing. It's a shame there's so few Mercy/Reaper centered fics around, but you make up that with how thoughtful your writing seems. Quality over quantity. xD

I don't know what more to say. I loved it. The friendship between Reyes and Angela felt so natural, banter between all of the characters is fun, and the whole thing could fit into canon so nicely that until Blizzard gives us the oficial version I'm going to imagine that this is what really happened. xD

As another reviewer said you have created wonder stories with so little lore (seriously need some Reaper comics/cinematics) Also I am now a Mercy/Reaper shipper because you make their interactions so natural and until Blizz gives us more info, your stories are my canon!

Absolutely brilliant. While this review may not be as eloquent as the previous few you've received (trust me, I've checked), I'd still like to express my gratitude. For a fandom that is still young and small, it's quite rare to see someone who puts so much thought into the plot, interactions, and symbolism. You could work for Blizzard, I swear. Your dialogue is just as deep and concise as their in-game interactions in Overwatch. A day and half and you create this amazing-ness? It's takes many more than a week to write something at half this quality. Keep up the great work, that's all I can say.

You are a damn capital 'G' Goddess. How you give such believable depth to character we at this time know so little about is astonishing, key word in that sentence being "believable". I want understand how muck forethought when in to these scenarios and character interactions. Nothing feels forced, If this where the first of your oneshots I where to read I doubt that anything in this scenario would come across as off putting. If anything, the best thing between these one shots is simply the relationships between Reyes, Angela and Morrison and just how complex it is. (the image of Morrison being "such a dad" has forever tainted my image of him) What I'm sure of is that you intend to evetually tackle. Is an eventual meeting between Soldier 76 and Reaper (post overwatch shutdown) where mercy may or may not be present to play peacemaker between the two. I can only hope that when you tackle that, you continue down the line of how "there is no real badguy" and not with a cliched good vs evil showdown.
Also don't worry about your one shots being to depressing. How you mix in a bit of comedy at the start allows the reader to ease themselves into your writing so your actual more suspenseful sections hit home much harder.

Oh Angela, if only you had a moment of clairvoyance right then and there. The Butterfly Effect can be seen here: Angela refused to give Amelie poison to determine her life, Talon kidnapped her and twisted her into a killer, she kills her own husband and later Mondatta, along with who knows how many others, ultimately starting the Second Omnic Crisis.

This was a great pre-canon Overwatch fic and I really like how you depicted the friendship between Amelie and Angela. A little headcanon of mine is that Lena and Amelie were also great friends before Talon made Widowmaker.
