how are you so underrated? i don't read much fanfiction anymore, but your writing is such a peaceful escape from a hectic day. i'm looking forward to reading your other stories. there are not enough rei/asuka stories out there, so i thank you for your dedication.

Very interesting, even if I think it could do with being broken up into shorter chapters. I like what you've done with the characters, though. Good job.

I thought this was a very well written fic. The only criticism I have is that there has been no indication that, well, Asuka would be interested in more than friendship with a girl before the kiss happened. I don't think developments were rushed per se - quite the contrary in fact, I think that is one of the fic's selling points, this slow and steady development in the relationship, where both sides can make fuck-ups and are still constrained by the not so productive parts of their relationships. It was just that the kiss itself came a bit out of the blue.

Buuut OTOH it gave us a really, really cute ending, so all together now: Awwww.

Awww... that was sweet. I'm still a bit sad Rei didn't convince Asuka to try going to see Shinji, and hugs all-round resulted.

For actual critique, as sweet as Asuka and Rei finally coming together was, it felt a little hurried as things accelerated, and lacked a bit more communication. You can say a lot with touches and kisses, but at some point talking is needed.

Still, enjoyed it, and look forward to anything else you write. :)

Two chapters in a day? That's a pleasant surprise! I have to say, this is one of my favorite AsuRei fics, and definitely my favorite non-AU one. It's great to see Asuka and Rei making a life together after all the horrors the world put them through.

Nice to see humanity making a comeback in the end. I never really thought about Rei being to blame for Third Impact, honestly. I just blamed Shinji like everyone else and moved on. I also liked that Rei didn't need to talk to the person. Just having Asuka and knowing she didn't condemn humanity to oblivion is enough.

Hugs, kisses, and love confessions? Oh my!

This was a great chapter. All the buildup of Asuka grappling with her feelings, and gradually becoming interdependent paid off spectacularly. I wish Rei would stop using her A.T. Field, though. Like, damn girl, just do things manually.

I did notice a tiny mistake, though. Potatoes don't actually grow from seeds, but seed potatoes, which are basically pieces of a chopped up potato. There's a pretty informative article on , if you wanna read about it.

Love these stories! My daily dose of WAFF is complete. I think what I love most is that these stories really just destress me. Asuka's characterization was spot on as always. Seeing the same familiar pain and anger play itself out but with a great result. Keep up the good work!

Ouch. Asuka, you really should talk to Shinji at some point. Even if this isn't my preferred AsuShin (or AsuShinRei), you think you'd have learned not to let emotional wounds like that sit and fester. Youand he woke up on that beach together. You mean things to each other. Though I suppose waiting until you're more emotionally stabilized by Rei would help there a bit.

And the Angel with Shinji is a 'him'? Hmm. I'd hoped it was another Rei. But then, you know my OT3, Xairathan. :) Good chapter all round.

Another good chapter, though I'm a little worried about the soil. Is it still fertile after Third Impact? I know Second Impact messed up the Arctic ocean and the global climate (and like, all the oceans in the Rebuild films), and I can't help but think that something bad is going to happen. I just can't get out of the Evangelion mindset, I guess. I'm sure you wouldn't do something *that* cruel, though.

I thought the hug was really sweet, and Asuka, at the very least, not wanting to be the one being held was adorable and in character. I smiled so much at them sharing a bed that it made my cheeks hurt, unless I'm reading that part completely wrong.

Again, another good chapter in a good fic, and I'm looking forward to the next!

I'm loving seeing Rei become more emotional, or at least more open about her emotions. And I'm glad to see Asuka becoming more aware of her feelings for Rei, whatever those feelings may be at the moment.

I do have a question, though. Did Asuka get Rei a specific book, or did she just pick up the first book she found? I really like the idea that Asuka spent time searching for the *perfect* book.
