NOT the response you meant, because she just confirmed to him that she doesn't want to see him.

I would also point out that you've described his physical responses (e.g.: studying his shoes just before his not-a-question) but none on Hermione's here. I would expect she probably approached him, laid her hand on his shoulder, squatted down in front of him? Something to show a reaction.

In your future stories, I hope you take the time to describe these scenes more fully because these are the things that draw readers fully into a story, and we can't see into your head. Not unless you let us through the only means available - your writing. So, if you don't write it down, we can't see it.

can you do another fanfic like this except maybe it continues on as it would of originally as voldemort i think that would be quite interesting having him conflicted about memories of them together in the past yet having to still go after harry and the war.
