You wrote a great Bill and Laura scene! Wish we could have seen that actually happen between them. I like how you had Bill need to hear it from Laura and how he will be there for her. The president does need her admiral but Laura also needs her Bill. With the chemistry between these two I agree it was bound to happen!

Such a great piece. You can feel their feelings jumping through through words into your heart.

Loved the opening with her answering him as if it was a rhetorical question and him responding matter of fact, cutting to the chase.

The "uneasy alliance" / "alliance nevertheless" exchange was so astute!

They both had revelations in this story: him realizing she was diagnosed the day he met her and the same day as the attack later and her realizing he knew her diagnosis before she was out of the brig and president again. All so well done!
