I'm not flaming and I'm not hating. I just think that you're trying to turn the war into something much more gruesome and I think you're exaggerating a bit too much.

They were damaged enough as it was in the movies and books.

Do you honestly think they would have children with a war still waging? Are you insane? The reason why the youngsters fought was to make the world a better place for the future generation. Lily being raped by a vampire? That vampire would've killed her with one squeeze, especially since she's barely a teenager. And how can she still act like a child after an experience such as that?

Your characters are too broken. I'm sorry, but I don't see them ever being anything but broken people. Good Luck healing them without it seeming unbelievable.
