damn! good story but not quite enjoyable that they have to be separated

Honestly close to tears right now. This was beautiful, and I love (and hate, lol) how the short paragraphs and second person create a sense that something is /about to happen/ for the entirety of the fic. It's like I was sitting on an edge for the entirety of the story, knowing that something was going to come up behind me and push me over but not knowing when or how.
