I was enjoying this story, right up to this chapter.

I don't care about Sinon appearing, whatever, what I do care about is Kirito being so...lax. He's supposed to be apathetic, since that's the damn title after all, yet he spilled his guts to the first and second girl he met, instead of doing what pretty much any overpowered and socially-inept boy would do and run away before she could do anything.

He really doesn't seem to value his anonymity if he's so willing to just tell pretty much whoever that he's Kirito. 'Oh, hello there female who appeared in canon and is thus important to the plot, I am Kirito.' pretty much sums him up.

It's just...annoying.

Good so far

He's mental, has social anxiety, and actually likes his situation, and somehow it all works with the written personality! Bravo! Good job on that. Just, I think I'd like it if he was a little quieter is his screeching.

Loving your story. Most of your characterization is correct, except two you should remember. Your Ausuna characterization is spot on for later, but remember she acted very differently in the begging. Although she did warm up to Kirito, it really took until she had spent a lot of time in the guild that she became a leader and became less... Introverted I guess? Hard to explain, but it did sound a little wierd at the begging, although it is perfect for later. Also, do remember that Shino took a LONG time for her to become so confident in Gun Gale, at least in my memory, so remember I don't know if it is logical that she be the equal of clearers, she was just as much of a coward at first(should probably fact check me though) and only got that cool girl persona later. But yeah, stats feel realistic and he still sounds like Kirito but can feel the differences his fame have made. Great story, can't wait for more!

I love your characterizations of the characters! I also, love that Sinon is here. Her character was ultimately destroyed by the author. She had such a good tragic backstory, but it got overshadowed by Jesus-kun's harem trap... I honestly wish Gun Gale Online was completely separate like how Gun Gale Alternative is. Like either alternate timeline or just set in the same universe with a similar character replacing Kirito. Either way, I still love SAO simply because of the setting itself. Everytime I see that picture of Kayaba's vision of a castle in the sky, I get overcome by a feeling that just screams "Adventure". I relate to Kayaba more than anyone in the entire series, as I understand why he did what he did. I would do the same after all. As I am sure the typical Japanese employee, Reki Kawahara included, also felt the same at one point in their life.

Really good chapter. Big fan of long chapters, especially when all the details are described. Great fight at the end. Can't wait for the next chapter.
