Seems like a good premise for a story. Poor old Destiny was getting quite beaten up and would need some repair to be able to continue with people on board. Also with more people and resources it should lower the crew tension a bit and hopefully get then to pull together against outside problems more than inside. More in the way SG1 and Atlantis was written. :)

If Sheppard, McKay, and Jonas Quinn are going, may I make a few suggestions for additional members of their team?
Either Dr. Carson Beckett, or Dr. Jennifer Keller. (Most likely Keller, because I doubt she will let Rodney go without her.)
Agent (formerly Sgt) Bates
Laura Cadmen (she physically knows Rodney better than anyone else... Having shared a body with him and all)
Lt. Hailey.

I never read Ascension but this story seems intreaging enough on its own to grab my attention. Looking forward to more.
