This is a horror story. Nightmare fuel is what it is. Angst/Hurt/Comfort doesn’t cut it explaining this. It’s a misnomer and perhaps even unkind to the mental health and wellbeing of your readers.

There are people who would like to read this sort of thing as it is, with all the twists and turns and morbid/suicidal ending. Even if you explicitly stated what is contained within.

If I knew what it contained, I wouldn’t have read it. I don’t want that kind of angst, depression and defeatist suicidal attitude in my life.

I look for things where people may have a rough go of it at first (angst) and then they make their situation better. Overcoming their circumstances (hurt/comfort).

Maybe change the angst tag to Tragedy. It would be more appropriate.

Poor Natsuki,
Just as trapped as Tsuna but with none of the agency, power or choices. More trapped with the lack of information and the abundance of decisions that are made for her.
It's probably a lot of wishful thinking but it'd be a small amount of justice if Ieshitsu ever realises or thinks through the hell he put his children and especially his daughter through.

This was good!

Can't help wishing she would have had a better ending but this is a more realistic ending I think for a 15 year old thrown into the mafia with no knowledge, no allies, and no power. She would have needed at least one of the three to gain the other two and then maybe have done something for herself.

Holy shit that's not at all the direction I was expecting this fic to go in when I read the first chapter so long ago, though I can't say I'm complaining. It's bittersweet in its stark realism, but I found myself somehow... happy by the end. Maybe because I can put myself in Natsuki's shoes. Had I been her, death would have been a freedom from that life. You did an incredible job with her characterization. I hope in some other iteration of this world Natsu gets to be happy and kickass and live freely.
