Well, this was painful. I'm glad this wasn't the last chapter for 'A Mother's Diary'. That one was all fluffy stuff and to end it out of the blue like this would've been too weird.

If there was stuff like this in earlier chapters, sure, but the change in tone for just one chapter and the last one to boot, yeah.

Anyway. So sad they didn't make-up. And the last thing she says 'Captain Amari' instead of 'mom', yeesh. Poor Ana.

Angela talks like a mother would xD With how it'll be hard for her to see her as anything but that little kid.

There's gonna be more right? Would love to see the change from that to 'oh crap, I'm a little in love with her'. Also, you've set it up pretty nicely for when Ana is presumed dead. Fareeha is gonna beat herself up so much if they haven't reconciliated by then. If that's the route you'll be going for at least, which means that Angela won't be able to comfort her which will be a shame.
