I love how you first settle in Kazui's perspective by worrying about a birthday party. The visiting grandpa, cheating the system is also a nice thought. A lot of people would want that.

Ichikia and Kazui seeing a side of their respective parents that are only present when the other is around. That must have been uncomfortable. Especially to Kazui, who I think is more sensitive. Seeing his father looked... happier, more of himself with another woman even if they're not even doing anything wrong... it doesn't hurt but it doesn't feel good either.

The irony of Kazui's reply of just "hanging around with Kazui." Yes, Ichigo, two can play the game.

Obviously, Ichigo and Rukia aren't the type to cheat on their spouses. But I wouldn't be surprised if something like this actually happened in canon. IchiRuki's bond is just too strong, not even the supposedly canon pairings combined can overwhelm them.

i will go down with this ship, too; consider me sunk. this was beautifully imagined and portrayed. i'm not sure if i'll allow kazui and ichika in my headcannon or not, but this is a realistic element if i do. thank you!

In which my last review got cut off so - long story short. Coming back to read IchiRuki fics was not a good idea because it just made me cry again xD Though I'm glad to see everyone supporting each other. Misery loves company, after all.

Anyway, ahhh this fanfic hit me hard. Yeah, even the suggestion that your parent might be cheating is just awful. I feel so bad for Ichika and Kazui cause it's not like they're cheating (because I might be salty but I certainly don't want them to cheat to be together) but the kids can just see the connection.

I loved your fic, I think so too. Even if they are married they're still as close as ever. I think they could end up together one day...

Seriously, this is a probable outcome when the kids grow up. Maybe when they are going into puberty one of them will ask their parents if they ever loved each other.

And one important note, Kazui looks so much like Ichigo and nothing like Orihime I'm starting to think he was a product of an Ichigo parthenogenesis. Yeah, some very, very wild thoughts.
