Found your story via LJ Summers. It's a very enjoyable "what if" so far. Thanks for sharing.

I like how being in Slytherin forces him to learn spells and take things seriously, thus fulfilling the hat's predictions. His and Hermione's friendship is what's keeping me interested.

Unfortunately, I can't really call it an enjoyable read as the overarching theme just seems to be beat on Harry.

The twin were never friend with hermonie so why would they be now. And Ron was a B student so again why is he written at stupid

The problem with these story harry did like hermonie when he meet her. And hidge told him slytherin is bad

Its too bad to see you leaving this story aside but in some ways its basic flaws would have required this. The biggest flaw is Slytherin Harry...and not because Harry shouldn't be a Slytherin but rather because his life expectancy in the house would be very minimal given older students' family affiliations and the extreme ease with which he could be taken out by an older student either via poisoning or the AK. There are few fics that deal with this well. K518 solves this via the Super! Harry model. Others deal with it by rebuilding canon to include something of an ongoing truce between the dark and light sides so long as voldemort isn't alive. Without one of these tropes, its really hard to see how Harry lives through his first week in Slytherin house.

Just thought you should know this story deserves 10 times the reviews it currently has. Hopefully it catches on soon. The intricacies in the story are magnificent, and this is refreshingly original for a 'first year, different house' story.

P.s. This is also the first review I've left on a story in probably a year, and I average at least 250k words a week on this site. Don't get discouraged; some of the best stories I've read on here haven't drawn the reviews they should have.

Just caught this story up, and although I don't know if you've figured out how things will work post fourth year given the predominance of deatheater kids in Harry's dorm, this story is really quite well done. The characters are reasonably in character or at least credibly so given the changes you've introduced. The Weasley Twins are really nicely handled as is Harry. Neville is very much true to character and Hermione seems about right, too. Thanks loads for your hard work on this, looking forward to the next installment.

So, I like the continuation of Snape's floral offerings for aid/support/etc. Very cool.

All the pranking has me squinching somewhat. I'm wondering how plot-significant the variety of pranks are, beyond the need for Harry to learn how to protect himself and learning some new things. Will this aid him in his eventual victory or attempts thereof?
