AU. Magic has been outlawed in Arendelle for centuries, and is punishable by death, which is why Elsa's better off anywhere where she feels safer from any ordinary magic haters/fearers/distrusters who'd likely want her dead.
AdorkableAriadne chapter 1 . 1/17
"I'd also like to introduce my daughters," the king called out after a small speech, "Princess Elsa, heir of Arendelle, and Princess Anna!" The two girls who emerged from the palace seemed like opposites, Gray thought, almost too different to even be sisters. Both were beautiful, each had narrow jaw lines and high cheek bones. Both had small, slightly upturned noses and full lips. Both had large, strikingly blue eyes. That was were their similarities ended. Anna wore a black and green dress that complimented her sun-kissed, freckled skin, sheer sleeves hanging from her shoulders, leaving her arms and chest bared to the warm air, whereas, Elsa's skin was snow white, but her face was all that was left bare. Her dress was teal and black, covering from her neck to the end of her arms, gloves that matched the teal of her dress encased her hands. A deep purple cape hid her neck, covering her shoulders and flowing behind her. Both were thin of waist, but Elsa was curvier, with large breasts and wide hips. Anna had vibrant red hair held back in a bun with a braid wrapped around the front as if to make a crown, whereas, Elsa's white platinum blonde hair was unlike any Gray had ever seen before. It was white blonde with pastel shades of blue, purple, and green streaked through it like the Aurora Borealis had been captured in her hair. Which was held up in a braided bun, a silver tiara tucked into the front, a small replica of her father's crown, signifying her status as heir. Anna bubbled with excitement, her warm smile infectious, whereas, Elsa was rigid and stoic, her face void of any emotion.

"Very well," he grasped the younger princess' hand before she even realized what was happening. Gray watched as the short old man dragged the young princess to the dance floor, to her dismay, Elsa giggled as she watched them. "That's a shame," he made Elsa turn towards him. "What is?" she asked. "That you don't dance," he grinned. He wasn't much for dancing himself, but Agnarr required him and Erza to take a few classes for the occasion, and he found he would make an exception for her. She seemed hesitant of his offer, glancing back at her parents who were seated on the thrones behind her. The two were lost in conversation with a few of the other ambassadors and seemingly not paying attention. She smiled at him and hurried down from the dais, pulling him into the crowd away from her parents gaze. He understood why she didn't want them to see, knowing they wouldn't approve of her spending time with a wizard. He almost pulled away from her, unsettled that she'd be ashamed of him, but when she looked up at him with such innocence he forgot his anger. His bare hand took hold of her gloved one while the other settled at her hip and hers came to rest on his shoulder. They fell into the waltz as if they'd danced together a hundred times. She let him lead as they stepped to the music that swelled through the ballroom. They danced for two songs before they felt dizzy. Elsa excused herself after the music died down, telling him she should get back to her family, but assuring him she'd see him again soon. Her smile lingered in his mind as he watched her weed her way through the crowd. He turned when she disappeared from sight, grabbing a champagne flute from one of the servants and sipping at the bubbling liquid. He stepped out onto the balcony that extended from the ballroom and leaned against the railing, letting the wind whip through his hair as he starred out over the fjord. Elsa had to distance herself for a little while. For the first time in her life she wasn't fearing her magic, but something else that she couldn't quite put her finger on. Gray Fullbuster made her feel... different. He made her heart flutter, and cheeks feel warm, and her stomach tied itself in knots when he smiled at her, and for the first time she was filled with emotions that didn't make snow and ice fill the room. She left the ballroom and began wondering the castle. Which took her awhile, but she finally found an empty hall to catch her breath.

Iduna made last minute adjustments to her daughters' dresses. She tightened the strings of her corset. Her smile returned after a deep exhale. The lady's maid helped Anna (15) into her dress, careful to avoid mussing Anna's pristine hairstyle. "The gates haven't been open in years!" Anna said happily. "Hold still, Anna," Queen Iduna smiled at her younger daughter.
"And you know why you have to be there, Elsa," she flashed her elder daughter a stern look as she helped with the buttons on the back of Anna's dress. "Your father has been working very hard with parliament for this trade alliance. This agreement with Ishgar is paramount," she went on, despite having explained it several times. "As heiress, Elsa, you should take this seriously. Which shows that Arendelle is serious about the negotiations, which shows that you are serious about upholding the alliance once you are queen," Iduna made Elsa (17) sigh and tug her gloves further up her arms. A slight chill seeped into the room. "You look beautiful, Anna," Queen Iduna told her younger daughter, who smiled sheepishly, her cheeks turning the same red as her hair. "Let me speak with your sister alone," Iduna gently, cupping Anna's face briefly.
Anna gave a small curtsy as her mother's hand fell away. She offered her sister a meek smile and Elsa returned it briefly before her serious expression returned. Anna left alongside the lady's maid, closing the door behind them. "Elsa, you have to remain calm," Iduna warned her. "I'm trying, Mother," Elsa assured her, despite the decreasing temperature in the room.
"It's more important than ever for you to control your powers," the Queen told her, holding her daughter's shoulders. "I'm trying," Elsa repeated, "It's not easy, even with the gloves." "I know," Iduna sighed, "I know how hard you try." "I just don't understand why I'm even still heir," Elsa pressed, the fears that have been eating at her finally spilling from her lips. Her mother looked surprised, her hands falling from Elsa's shoulders. "Anna should be the heiress," As snowflakes began to swirl in the room. "Elsa," her mother reached out to her daughter once more, but Elsa took a step back. "Don't," Elsa whispered, holding her hands together against her chest, knowing she wasn't fully in control at the moment. "I'm never going to be normal," she started. "I don't deserve to be Arendelle's queen," Elsa told her mother, tears brimming her eyes, the flurries of snow multiplying. "Elsa," Iduna made her daughter snap her attention to her mother sternly. As her welling tears subsided, Elsa pushed them back and straightened herself once more, however, snow continued to float around the room. "You know we can't just skip you in the line of succession. What would people think? They're already suspicious since we closed the castle gates." Iduna grabbed Elsa's shoulders roughly, forcing her to turn towards her.
"Listen to me," Iduna held Elsa's eyes with her own, "They will kill you. Do you understand that? They will destroy this family, and our legacy. You have to control it for yourself, your family and Arendelle's future." Elsa nodded shakily. Her mother released her and turned her back to her. Elsa straightened herself and took a few deep breaths, closing her eyes as she counted backwards from ten. When she opened her eyes, the snow had disappeared. "Very good, Elsa," her mother told her, "We'll be greeting Ishgar's dignitaries in the courtyard. Compose yourself further if need be, but be downstairs in no more than fifteen minutes." "Yes, Mother," Elsa said softly. Her mother didn't turn to look at her as she left the room.

"This feels like a terrible idea," Gray muttered to his colleagues. He stood rigidly still in the courtyard of Arendelle's royal castle, hands behind his back, one hand clasping his other wrist. He was flanked by ambassadors from all over Ishgar. Most held prestigious titles, either direct relation to royalty, or members of government, but Fiore had different plans for it's representation. Arendelle, an island nation to Ishgar's north, had proposed a trade agreement and peace alliance with the continent, hoping to bring about prosperity to the nations and had asked each country to send ambassadors to a summit, where negotiations for the agreements could be dictated. Makarov, the guild master of Fairy Tail, and one of the Ten Wizard Saints, stood to Gray's left. He'd been summoned by the king of Fiore himself and propositioned.
"I'm honored, Your Grace," Makarov told King Toma, "but why me?" "Arendelle's laws against magic are archaic," he told him, "I want to see if they can truly put aside their prejudices against magic and it's wielders, for if they cannot, an alliance cannot truly be wrought." "I understand," Makarov said, "However, there are mages greater than I, perhaps one on the Magic Council?" Agnarr smiled at the old man's hesitation, but shook his head, standing and stepping towards Makarov to place a hand on his shoulder.
"I want you and a few of your Fairy Tail mages to go. Make sure they are ones you trust, and I will trust your judgment. I want them to see those who truly use magic for their lively hood, to see the real people of this nation and not some bureaucrat," the king had explained. Makarov glanced up at Gray now, sharing the boy's sentiments. He'd chosen Gray and Erza to accompany him on the trip, trusting the two to behave themselves. He'd originally thought to bring Laxus, but he'd been so distant and headstrong as of late. Gray had his own faults, but he was respectful and would understand the importance of the summit. And of course, Erza Scarlet he trusted above all others in his guildhall. The red-haired warrior stood to Gray's right looking stoic and beautiful in her gown. The king had clothes tailored for them for the event. To just the eye, they looked like all of the other dignitaries, though Gray and Erza were much younger than the others certainly. Gray was sensing Makarov's nervousness, despite how outwardly calm the master seemed, and it was making him nervous as well. "I trust the king's wishes," Makarov said barely above a whisper. Gray sighed. They'd already had the conversation several times. First when Makarov had approached Gray and Erza, asking them to join him, again before boarding the ship, and several times during the journey here. There was no point in talking about it again, especially here. Gray shifted his weight to the other leg, and just as he was wondering how much longer the royals would make them wait, the doors to the palace opened. "Dignitaries! Ladies and gentleman, His Majesty, King Agnarr of Arendelle," a man called out the introductions, "And Her Majesty, Queen Iduna!" A tall blonde man stepped from the palace, with his wife at his side. Arendelle's king and queen seemed almost too perfect. Both attractive, elegant, and graceful as they greeted the ambassadors, their own parliament, and the citizens who'd come to see the festivities. The king seemed kind, yet had a commanding presence, but Gray was unimpressed. He'd wanted to be impartial, but he had to be uncaring, when he thought about Arendelle's harsh laws on magic, he felt his blood boiling. This king hadn't been the one to pass the anti-magic laws, but he upheld them, and that was enough for Gray to be biased. Anna bubbled with excitement, her warm smile infectious, whereas, Elsa was rigid and stoic, her face void of any emotion. Gray's chest tightened when Elsa's cold stare fell to him, but she quickly looked away. He swallowed thickly, trying to ignore his uneasiness as the ambassadors began introducing themselves to the king and queen of Arendelle. "I am Makarov Dreyar of the Kingdom of Fiore," the master began when it was his turn, "I am one of the Ten Wizard Saints, appointed by the Magic Council of Ishgar." Audible gasps could be heard from the people of Arendelle, followed by silence. Gray's eyes remained focused on the King, whose eyes had flickered with anger, before he quickly schooled them.
"I am also master of the magic guild Fairy Tail," Makarov went on casually, "And these are two of our strongest wizards." "They are ice mage Gray Fullbuster, and S-Class requip mage, Erza Scarlet," he introduced them. Gray and Erza gave graceful bows to the King.
"Welcome to Arendelle," the King said with forced cheer. Erza and Gray stood straight once more and exchanged uneasy glances before Arendelle's king and queen moved on to the next dignitaries.

Elsa's mouth gaped when the old man had introduced himself. "I am also master of the magic guild Fairy Tail," the short old man said, "And these are two of our strongest wizards." "They are ice mage Gray Fullbuster, and S-Class requip mage, Erza Scarlet," he introduced the two standing at his side. "Ice... Ice mage?" Elsa whispered to herself, stunned. She blinked rapidly, realizing that a chill rose in the air around her. She regained control of her expression and emotions, closing her eyes and counting backwards. She opened her eyes again and looked over the three from Fiore again. Arendelle's libraries have little information on magic, but she'd found a book on Ishgar that talked about it's wizards and magic guilds. She couldn't believe a country had been so bold as to send them here though. She feared for them suddenly, as she eyed the members of parliament and the citizens who were whispering all too loudly. Agnarr had more or less been unfazed by them, or if he had been, he'd hidden it well. She felt a serge of pride in him, happy to know these negotiations were more important to him than making an example of the wizards. "Wow, wizards!" Anna leaned towards her sister, "Kinda scary, huh?" Elsa swallowed thickly, knowing full well how dangerous magic could be. "He's cute though. Gray I think his name was," Anna whispered with a giggle, drawing Elsa's eyes to the ice mage. He had sharp features, a square jaw, and broad shoulders. His clothes fit him well and couldn't hide the strong body underneath. His eyes seemed calculating, fully aware of his surroundings. He absently ran a hand through his dark hair. Elsa felt an unfamiliar heat rise to her cheeks as she looked him over. She had to admit he was handsome, if only to herself. She snapped her gaze away when his eyes flicked her way. "Are you blushing, Elsa?" Anna teased softly. "Father said seen not heard." Anna's smile faltered as she listened to her sister, leaning away from her and standing straight again. Agnarr and Iduna returned to their daughters' and stood on the steps next to each other. "Tonight shall be for festivities!" Agnarr announced, "Our staff will show you to your rooms first, and then we will share in a feast, fallowed by the ball." The ambassadors applauded, most smiling at the king's announcement.
"Please, enjoy Arendelle's hospitality during your stay," he finished, before offering Iduna his arm and heading back inside the palace, Anna and Elsa following behind them as they'd rehearsed. The four stood to the side of the grand staircase as their guests were guided into the palace and up the stairs to their rooms. When Gray passed them, his eyes locked with Elsa's briefly, making her chest tighten. "You're blushing again," Anna teased, leaning close to her sister once more, only making Elsa's cheeks turn a brighter crimson. "Anna," Iduna scolded, making her stand straight again, and silencing her giggles to Elsa's relief, though she hoped her parents hadn't heard Anna's accusations. Once all of the ambassadors were upstairs, the girls turned to their parents awaiting instructions. "The banquet will begin in an hour, girls," Agnarr turned towards them as he smiled lightly, "Don't be late." "And don't bother the dignitaries," their mother warned. The girls curtsied, having been dismissed. Anna headed out into the courtyard, ecstatic to finally have the gates opened, whereas, Elsa headed to the library. She shut the doors behind her and gingerly removed her gloves, despite the danger, but her palms were getting sweaty. She released a small chill into the air, this time intentionally. She let the cold seep into her skin through the thick material of her clothing. Anna was free to dress for the warm summer weather, whereas, she had to remain hidden under layers of cloth. Elsa gingerly touched the globe in the corner of her room, her finger delicately tracing a line from Arendelle to Fiore, leaving a thin trail of ice in it's wake. She sucked in a breath when the doors behind her opened and quickly pulled her gloves back over her hands. "Thank you," she heard a deep voice behind her and turned to see the ice mage with his back to her and giving thanks to one of the servants. He shut the doors after the servant left, and turned to find the princess, surprise passing over his features. "Oh, sorry, I didn't know anyone was here," he said, and bowed quickly. He rose a moment later.
"Princess Elsa, isn't it?" he asked, and she nodded, lowering her own head briefly. When she looked back up at him, she found a small smile had formed on his lips. He stepped closer to her and offered her his hand, to her surprise. "Gray Full-buster," he introduced himself. She flushed, starring at his hand, but kept hers folded together in front of her, terrified to touch him.
"Oh! Sorry," he stammered, pulling his hand behind his back, "Commoner thing." Crimson seeped into his own cheeks now as he chuckled. "I've never met a princess before," he admitted, and Elsa began to laugh with him, her hand coming up to cover her mouth. "I've never met a... a wizard before, either" She was unable to stop the smile on her lips. "No, I suppose you wouldn't have," he glanced over his shoulder, making sure the doors to the library were closed before stretching out his hands in front of him, placing a fist over his open palm. A blue light shined from his hands, making Elsa gasp, but was unable to take her eyes off him. When the light dissipated, Gray opened his fist to reveal a crocus, Arendelle's official crest, made of ice.
"Wow," Her voice breathy as she reached out to touch it with a gloved hand. Gray handed it to her, letting her hold the frail ice flower. "I'm sorry," he apologized to Elsa softly, "I know magic is illegal here." Elsa looked up into his eyes, finding them sincere. From their close proximity, she realized his eyes weren't black, but a dark blue. "But I wanted to show you how beautiful magic can be," he told her, making her chest tighten, his words reaching her heart, even if he didn't know the real impact they had on her. "Why did you come to Arendelle?" she suddenly asked him, finding her voice.
"Well, mostly because Master Makarov asked me to," he explained, "He's the closest thing to family I've got. I'd do anything he asked me to." Elsa looked at him with sad eyes, realizing his meaning. "You're an... orphan?" she inquired and he nodded, a flicker of anger showing in his eyes, but it subsided shortly after.
"But another reason is that, well, I kinda hope to show Arendelle that not all wizards and magic are bad," he said. Elsa smiled up at him then, feeling warmth blossoming inside her. She sat on the sofa behind them and he joined her. She set the ice crocus onto the table next to them. "What's it like?" she asked, unable to contain her curiosity any longer, "Being in a magic guild?" He smiled at her, and hope bloomed inside him. If Arendelle's people were anything like their princess, perhaps the alliance with Ishgar could bring about real change. "Well, it's like a big, dysfunctional family," he chuckled. "You've gotten all these personalities clashing, but deep down, everybody cares about each other," he went on, and Elsa hung on every word. "The main point is it's a place you can find work. People from all over the country post jobs on the request boards, asking for help from wizards. You can take jobs by yourself, but we form teams, too," he explained.
"Are you and Erza on a team?" she asked, inquiring about the buxom redhead. "Oh, no, not usually, I usually work with my friend, Loke, or by myself," he told her. Gray begun telling her about one of his adventures, and Elsa was completely enthralled, unable to look away as he animatedly told her the tale, making her laugh. Gray's beautiful ice crocus had melted when the doors burst open, startling the pair. The red-haired mage stood in the doorway. "There you are!" Erza called out, "We're going to be late for the banquet." Elsa gasped and stood swiftly and it was only then that Erza realized who she was, and quickly bowed. "Princess! Forgive me!" Erza called out. "No, please, you're quite all right," she assured, and Erza stood once more, "Come, we mustn't be late." She felt something grip her hand suddenly and turned with fear as she saw Gray holding her hand. "I hope we can talk again while I'm here," he smiled. She returned his smile when her magic remained dormant, her gloved hand like that of anyone else's. "I do, too," she told him earnestly and he released his hold on her. The two took quick steps to catch up to Erza as they headed to the banquet hall. She'd been quiet, letting him do most of the talking, but Gray found himself unable to stop thinking of Elsa. The way her face had lit up when he'd created the ice crocus had been a magic all it's own. She was seated at the table as far from him as possible, but she stood out among all the others.
"Are you alright, Gray?" Makarov asked quietly when he noticed the boy had barely eaten. "Yeah, I'm fine, just tired from the trip," he shoved another bite into his mouth. Makarov seemed to except the answer, but Erza smirked at him from across the table, knowing full well what had him distracted. He glowered at her, willing her to remain quiet. They were all escorted to the ballroom after dinner. Gray shuffled towards the thrones to the front of the room, hoping to find Elsa in the crowd of people. He smiled when he found her standing beside her sister, a member of Arendelle's parliament speaking to the princesses. "May I have the first dance?" the older man, Weasleton, Gray heard him introduce himself, asked Elsa. "Oh, I'm afraid I don't dance," she informed him. "Oh?" he inquired, obviously perturbed to being shot down. "But my sister does," she grinned mischievously. "I do?" Anna corked a brow at her sister. "Very well," he grasped the younger princess' hand before she even realized what was happening. Gray watched as the short old man dragged the younger princes

"Anna dear..." "YOU LIED TO ME!" Anna screamed at her mother. "I've been living away from Elsa...thinking that she didn't love me anymore...thinking that she hated me for years. All you two fed me were lies about why she couldn't come out instead of telling me the actual truth!" "A-A-Anna...we...we did it to..." Agnarr stuttered but was interrupted by Anna. "To protect me?" Anna screamed. "More like ruin mine and Elsa's childhood!" "We didn't know..." Agnarr whimpered. He was clearly frightened of his daughter's hostile attitude. "You're damn right you didn't." Anna scowled, shocking both her parents. "But..."
"Don't interrupt me!" Anna screamed. "Why didn't you tell me the truth?" "We did it to protect you from your powers." Agnarr said.

INTERIOR. ANOTHER KINGDOM (NEITHER ARENDELLE, THE SOUTHERN ISLES NOR WESELTON)
Anna (15) screamed at the top of her lungs in rage once she learned the fact that Grand Pabbie changed her magical memories to ordinary memories back when she was 5, whereas, Elsa was 8 until she collapsed as she cried out all the grief and longing for everything she missed and never had. Her own elder soul sister figure, Melina soothingly comforted Anna to calm her (Anna's) anger down, but it didn't prevent her (Melina) from being downright pissed off at Elsa for coldly rejecting Anna's engagement to Hans when Elsa was the one who failed to be there for Anna for years since Anna was 5, whereas, Elsa was 8.

INTERIOR. ANOTHER KINGDOM (Neither Arendelle, the Southern Isles nor Weselton)
It was just like any other productive day for everyone in the castle. All the servants, guards and maids were normally doing their jobs as usual. "I wonder how will Her Highness handle the fact that Grand Pabbie changed her magical memories to ordinary memories since she was just 5, whereas, her sister was 8 back then?" "She's quite the opposite of her sister which means they're another sibling yin yang but I hope she takes it very well, but at the same time, I suspect that she's going to take it very badly the way she took the denial of hers and Hans's engagement very badly during the coronation party." "Unfortunately, she had no patience to appreciate Elsa's suspicious warnings, care if Prince Hans is another stranger she would've gotten to know better by trusting carefully, listen nor notice anything unusual." The yelling was correctly heard (where people's ordinary memories were changed back to magical memories) until the door was violently burst/flung/yanked/slammed open and was slammed with a loud shut/bang so much forces that it echoed throughout the halls, it was a certain, familiar, strawberry blonde young girl (whose face was beet read, eyes were narrowed in anger, teeth were bared/gnashed/gritted in disgust and hands were balled up into tight fists at sides) who finally emerged from the room at last, begun to storm away from the room (where her ordinary memories were changed back to magical memories at last) down the hallway turned out to be Princess Anna of Arendelle (15) herself. Everyone suddenly stopped what they were doing as they watched Arendelle's strawberry blonde princess storming down the hallway in a fit of rage. Anna ignored them. She knew full well they all were giving her their undivided attention. After Anna made it to her bedroom, she yanked open the door, stamped/stomped inside, and slammed it with so much forces that it echoed throughout the halls. Everyone looked at each other in confusion and shock in their eyes. Then a grown adult woman who emerged out of the room was Anna's elder soul sister, Melina, but she neither burst/flung/yanked the door open nor slammed it shut with a loud bang the way Anna just did until Melina approached as she smirked at anybody who who suspected that Anna was going to take the truth very badly instead of well. "Don't worry, I've warned her that not all true memories were worth remembering from the start, especially her true childhood memory of one traumatic accident. So it's better not to make her angrier than she already is, ain't it?" The others nodded towards Melina in agreement. Melina, proceed to make her way out of the room (the same room where she fairly changed Anna's ordinary memories back to magical memories on her own free will instead of Grand Pabbie), shut the door behind her until she walked down the hallway in a different/another direction to find any/other plans to punish Grand Pabbie and Elsa instead of following after/behind Anna, knowing Anna needs time to cool her rage down.

Meanwhile, in Anna's bedroom, there was nobody else here all except for Anna herself. Anna felt nothing but a rage burning was nothing but angry at Grand Pabbie for changing her magical memories to ordinary memories just because she was 5, but not protecting Elsa from traumatic childhood memories of one accident/incident back when Elsa was 8. She was downright mad at her parents, Agnarr and Iduna for trusting Grand Pabbie.

INTERIOR. ANOTHER KINGDOM (NEITHER ARENDELLE, THE SOUTHERN ISLES NOR WESELTON)
"I'd hate to warn you, Anna, but some of your other true childhood memories of your past are rather traumatic, if I ain't wrong." Melina looked at Anna. Anna rolled her eyes, putting a spoonful of peas in her mouth. "When you and your brat of a sister, Elsa were little, you've known about Elsa's ice powers before until one traumatic accident, if I'm wrong." Anna nearly choked on her spoon. Did she just hear Melina right? She begun to laugh. "It's the truth, if you deny it." Melina ensured Anna. "I'm pretty sure I don't remember my sister having ice powers," Anna scoffed. "We wish you've still had, but you didn't remember anymore because of that old rock troll fraud, Grand Pabbie." Anna stopped eating, her attention now fully on Melina. What does she mean? Of course she'd remember something like that. It wasn't everyday that someone's sibling could accidentally shoot icicles from their fingertips. "What are you talking about?" This was going to be the hard part which is something Anna would likely take very badly instead of well the way she took the rejection of her and Hans' quick engagement very badly. "You'd always crawl into bed with Elsa and beg her to play together with you. 'Do you want to build a snowman?' is what you'd say to get her to play together with you. You and her would sneak into the throne room and Elsa would make it snow and you would...frolic around as you and Elsa built a snowman and ice skated." Anna hanged on Melina's words. Melina continued, knowing Grand Pabbie never bothered to protect Elsa from traumatic childhood memories of one accident like he should've back then when Elsa was 8, whereas, Anna herself was just 5 back then. "Then one night, you and her have done just that. Snuck into the throne room and played." A painful, traumatic memory resurfaced by showing it to Anna. "But then you were jumping, and Elsa tried to catch you, but you were just going so fast and, and Elsa even slipped because the floor was icy..." Anna's eyes were wide, trying to see what she was seeing. Yet, there was nothing she could remember about this recollection. "Elsa wanted you to neither fall nor hurt yourself, so Elsa tried to give you another soft landing, but instead, she accidentally froze your head with her ice powers. That's why you had that blonde streak last 13 years. The one you thought you were born with." Melina revealed without hesitation at all. "What?" Anna gasped with shock in her eyes, touching the spot the streak used to be which should've faded away back when she was just 5, whereas, Elsa was 8 back then. "Oh yeah, and worse for you, your father, King Agnarr said you were in danger and that's when they've taken you to the rock trolls." Anna furrowed her eyebrows, as she repeated. "The rock trolls?" "Yeah and worst of all, for you, the only way they could remove the ice from your head was to remove all magic. Especially memories of magic which was entirely unfair to you by the way." Melina glared at the thought/image of Grand Pabbie himself with pure hatred in her angry eyes. "Fathom then on, Elsa blindly hid her ice powers from you by the safe, but strict, unfair order of your father, King Agnarr." Melina folded her arms over her chest. Anna went silent as she couldn't believe the tall tale she had just been told. How could she decipher if it was true or false? It's not like she'd remember the truth if her memory of that incident was truly gone. She looked at Melina. It's obvious what they've just revealed was hurtful and painstaking for Elsa, King Agnarr, Queen Iduna and Grand Pabbie to tell Anna themselves. It must be true. "But why would they do that just because I was 5?" Anna's voice so low with disbelief if was almost a whisper. "They were already in a rush to save you from facing an undeserved death," Melina rolled her eyes in disgust. Anna didn't know what emotion to feel first. Anger, sadness, maybe even happy? Now Anna knows the truth, but she felt too much rage to be happy. She felt nothing at all but...betrayal. How could the rock trolls do that to her? That was completely unfair! She never ever even wanted her memory erased! And...Elsa! Did she know about this? Had she been keeping the same secret from her, too? She was just told that the trolls had the ability to remove ice from people, but she never thought they've already helped her in the past. "How...how dare they!" Anna cried with pure anger in her eyes, slamming her fists on the table as she was rising to her feet. "You wanted to know the truth, did you not?" Melina calmly reminded Anna. "The truth you could handle it very well. Just as I suspected. You were likely going to take the truth very badly as well, weren't you? The exact same way you took the denial of yours and Hans's quick engagement very badly at the coronation party since you had no patience to appreciate that brat, Elsa's blind paranoia, care if Hans was another stranger you would've gotten to know better by trusting carefully, listen to everything your perfect "sister" says nor notice anything unusual." "They've taken my memories?!" "Yeah and they should've protected that brat, Elsa from traumatic childhood memories of one accident back then before which none of them did. They made that brat, Elsa go through her entire life with unprotected, traumatic childhood memories of one accident." "That's not fair! How am I supposed to feel? I was just a little girl who wanted nothing more than to play with her sister, and...and they've basically taken that from me?" "Yeah, they should've given you and that brat, Elsa magical, less traumatic childhood memories to grow up with before instead of making you grow up with non-magic, ordinary memories and making that brat, Elsa grow up with unprotected, traumatic childhood memories of one accident." "They're the reason Elsa had to hide her ice powers for so long! No it's not okay! They just didn't change everything I knew, but they changed everything for Elsa, too!" Anna shouted in rage until she stamped/stomped/marched her way around the table as she exited the dining room, the large heavy door boomed as loud as Anna did when she slammed it shut, stormed up the stairs as fast as she slid down them earlier, tears of fury pressing from behind her eyes, towards her bedroom as fast as her feet would take her, and slammed the door shut with a very loud bang behind before she locked it. Keeping everyone out. It would've been fairer if Anna wasn't the only one who grew up without traumatic childhood memories of one accident, but it would've been better off if her perfect "sister", Elsa was the other one who grew up without traumatic childhood memories of one accident, too.

INTERIOR. KINGDOM OF ARENDELLE
Elsa sadly sighed with guilt in her eyes, remembering the day Anna got her revenge on her which was something she just couldn't believe at all since Anna learned that Elsa kept secrets from her obediently by the safe, but strict, unfair order of their father, King Agnarr last 13 years. However, now that Anna knows the truth, Anna never trusted Elsa again. Melina was right, Elsa never deserved to be called Anna's sister because Elsa shut Anna out last 13 years. "Your Majesty, you've done nothing to deserve to suffer through misery. Neither did Her Highness." Elsa inhaled deeply, "When we were little back then, Anna used to know about my ice powers until one traumatic accident." "That's hard to believe, is it not?" "It's the truth," Elsa ensured. "I'm pretty sure Anna would remember you having ice powers correctly, if I'm not mistaken" "No," Elsa shook her head. "That's just it, Anna doesn't remember." Elsa's breath became shorter, this was going to be the hard part. "Anna would always crawl into bed with me and beg me to play with her. 'Do you want to build a snowman?' is what Anna would say to get me to play with her. We'd sneak into the throne room and I would make it snow and Anna would...frolic around as we build snowmen and skated. Then," Elsa continued, knowing there was no going back now. "One night we've done just that. Snuck into the throne room and played. But...then..." Elsa had to pause as the painful memory resurfaced. "Anna was jumping, and I was catching her, and A-Anna was just going so fast, and I slipped... because the floor was icy." Elsa's voice was cool but filled with sadness, "I wanted Anna to neither fall nor hurt herself, so I tried to give Anna another soft landing, but instead, I've accidentally frozen Anna's head with my ice powers. That's why Anna had that blonde streak last 13 years. The one Anna thought she was born with. Our father said Anna was in danger and that's when we've taken took Anna to the rock trolls. The only way they could remove the ice from Anna's head was to remove all magic." Elsa explained. "Including memories of magic. Fathom then on, I had to hide my ice powers from Anna. It was the only way to save Anna. Anna wanted to know the truth, but I've blindly taken my father's orders. Anna was merely another little girl who wanted nothing more than to play with me." Elsa recalled. "And...I basically allowed the rock trolls to took that from Anna, just like my parents did. I had to hide for so long for Anna's own safety! In fact, I shut Anna out last 13 years which was something I never should've done in the first place. The rock trolls changed everything Anna knew. However, they changed everything for me, too!" "Your Majesty, Grand Pabbie should've protected you from traumatic childhood memories of one accident because it's really not good for children to suffer through trauma at all, especially not go through their entire lives with unprotected, traumatic childhood memories of their past lives, including one accident. Then you would've grown up with magical, less traumatic childhood memories of your past, without traumatic childhood memories of one accident. Her Highness would've grown up with magical, less traumatic childhood memories of the past." "We were in a rush to save Anna." "Your Majesty, did you know Grand Pabbie was publicly exposed as a childhood, life ruining, traumatizing fraud who should've done everything to prevent you, your sister and parents from suffering through misery for not protecting you from traumatic childhood memories of one accident." Elsa glared at the thought of Melina in disgust. "She's wrong. Grand Pabbie may not be the world's best rock troll, but that doesn't make him a fraud, does it? And what has Melina done to me? Violently hit me for only defending Grand Pabbie from her." "Didn't Her Highness do or say anything to defend you from her?" "No, Anna's already against me as revenge on me for allowing Grand Pabbie to remove her magical memories from her 5 year old mind."
AU Over Canon chapter 3 . 1/17
"Spare me your little talk of meaningless words, Pabbie, you're the reason Anna had to grow up with all ordinary memories, whereas, that brat, Elsa had to grow up with unprotected, traumatic childhood memories of one accident when she and that brat should've grown up with not only all ordinary, but also all magical, less traumatic memories." Melina glared at Grand Pabbie in the defense of Anna as an angry, furious, vengeful Anna stormed closer to Grand Pabbie. "You're not the world's greatest troll like they say you are, you're nothing but a weak, old, cowardly fraud!" Anna glared at Pabbie in tears of anger, fury and rage in agreement with Melina. "You've known Elsa was born with ice powers and yet, you never told more about it, did you?" Melina directly glared at Grand Pabbie with anger in her eyes as she commented about this much to Anna's realization, feeling a surge of anger at being left out. "TELL ME ABOUT IT!" Everyone else (except Scott, Marlana and Melina) was shocked at Anna's sudden outburst. "TELL ME EVERYTHING YOU KNOW ABOUT ELSA'S POWER! HOW DID SHE GET THESE POWERS?! WHY'S SHE SHUTTING ME AND EVERYONE OUT?! WHY'S SHE AFRAID OF HER OWN POWERS?!" "Oh man, she's really scary when she's angry." "That's why it's better to make a mental note to never get on Anna's bad side." "Anna, some truths are too much to be-" Grand Pabbie was about to try to reason with Arendelle's feisty, hot-headed strawberry blonde princess, however, Anna cut him off. "AND DON'T GIVE ME THAT EXCUSE! YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I HATE BEING SHUT OUT!" Anna continued to glare at the troll. Pabbie reluctantly relented and told her truth. "Your sister has these powers ever since she was born. Back then, you two used to play together with Elsa's ice powers. But then one day, during a nighttime excursion, your sister, Elsa struck accidentally froze your head with her ice powers. And that is when the previous king and queen sought out our help. I removed the ice powers and the memories of your sister, Elsa's magic to ensure that you will be recover and it is then I inform them how fear would be her greatest enemy. Then I showed her a vision that if her powers are not properly controlled, then she will be assaulted by angry mobs. Based on the state of the castle after this incident, it seems that the king and queen order the gates closed to make sure nobody else gets harmed by your sister's powers. And that is the last time we ever heard of the royal family until now. Judging by the ice in your heart, it seems that whatever your parents did ended up making the situation worse." Anna processed the information together and then… "Why Grand Pabbie?" Anna demanded, whereas, the latter said nothing but seem to look ashamed of himself. "Why did you show that vision in the first place if you told her that fear will become her worst enemy?! And why did you made me forget that I knew about Elsa's powers in the first place?! Do you know how it hurts to be shut out without even knowing why she did it?!" Anna angrily called out to the trolls for what they did to her and her sister. Marlana glared at Grand Pabbie in response. "That brat, Elsa saw herself as a monster because you made Elsa believe that she should fear other people! Agnarr and Iduna fear the brat, Elsa's ice powers! You should've saved that little brat, from being trapped into her own fears! Elsa should've been correctly taught how to fix and undo the mistakes that you and Anna's real parents made on that brat, Elsa! In fact, you should've protected that brat, Elsa from traumatic childhood memories of one incident which you failed to do yourself back when Elsa was only 8, whereas, Anna was only 5 back then."
2. Prologue chapter 3 . 1/17
INTERIOR. ANOTHER KINGDOM (NEITHER ARENDELLE, THE SOUTHERN ISLES NOR WESELTON)
The certain, familiar strawberry blonde young girl known as Princess Anna (15) clenched her fists as she gritted her teeth in disgust. She still wore a black, green that complimented her sun-kissed, freckled, sheer sleeves hanging from her shoulders leaving her arms and bared to the warm air. Memorable sight/flashback scene right in front of her; Grand Pabbie changed her magical memories to ordinary memories since she was 5, whereas, Elsa was 8. Elsa and their parents, Agnarr and Iduna allowed Grand Pabbie to change Anna's magical memories to ordinary memories after one traumatic childhood accident. Anna started having very dark, angry, hateful thoughts about Elsa run through her mind overcome with nothing but pure rage, hatred and jealousy towards Elsa. "That brat. Who does she think she is, asking what do I know about true love?" And there she (Anna) was directly glaring at the memory/image/thought of her so called "sister", Princess Elsa with pure hatred in her eyes. "Sweetheart, are you okay?" Kate asked Anna with concern in her eyes. Anna angrily scowled in pure disgust. Unable to hold her emotions in easily anymore, including her anger, Anna screamed in rage by lashing out as she slammed her balled up fists on the table and stomped her foot hard on the floor. "I'M NOT! Grand Pabbie changed my magical memories to ordinary memories and worst of all, my parents and Elsa allowed him to do that to me just because I was 5. Happy?" Scott narrowed his eyes at the memory of Elsa and Agnarr. "I'm never happy with the fact that you never got a chance to grow up with not only all ordinary, but also all magical, less traumatic memories, either." Kate was surprised by Anna's aggressive outburst, but she slowly approached her (Anna) with concern/sympathy in her eyes and patted her (Anna's) back to calm her (Anna) down even without a word. "Can you believe I had to grow up with all ordinary memories? Because of what that Grand Pabbie did to me was unfair. He was supposed to be protecting Perfect Elsa from traumatic childhood memories of one accident, too since she was 8, whereas, I was 5. I saw the unprotected, traumatic childhood memories of one accident myself with my own eyes. When we returned back home to Arendelle, I've waken up to find out Elsa first shut me out since I was just 5. When Elsa wanted or needed her own free personal space all to herself, too, I never gave or let her have any free personal space to herself unless she tells me why.…. … well, you know the same truth my parents kept from me for Grand Pabbie, too. It's not fair. Argh! This sucks.." A dizzied, frustrated, feisty Anna banged her tearful head against the dinner table with her hysterical rant before she panted until she sobbed out as her tears have begun falling onto the table, while, Kate still rubbed her back as she sympathized with her (Anna) softly. "There, there, you poor princess! You could calm down after you finished your dinner first. You're having a bad night since your sister didn't realize that you had no patience to appreciate her suspicions about new people you love to meet in person, notice anything unusual or care if Prince Hans of the Southern Isles was another stranger you would've gotten to know better by trusting carefully." "Which is something that paranoid brat should've!" Melina told Kate as she glared at the memory/thought of Snow Prinvess Elsa herself with pure hatred in her eyes. "Kate, show Princess Anna to her room after dinner." "Of course!" Kate smiled at Scott obediently, whereas, Anna still narrowed her eyes at the true memory of Elsa herself in real anger as she wanted nothing but revenge on her so called "sister", Elsa for allowing Grand Pabbie to change her (Anna's) magical memories to ordinary memories and shutting her (Anna) out. Scott smirked at the strawberry blonde young girl. Kate's going to show you to her room after dinner, if it could get your mind away from that worthless brat, Elsa." Kate helped Anna up off the chair, took her (Anna) to her room as she continued to calm her (Anna) down once Anna and Kate were out of sight after dinner. "That brat, Elsa did something to upset Anna." Melina glared at the memories of Elsa with anger in her eyes. "We have news for that brat, Elsa. Nobody gets away with upsetting Anna." "She deserved to be far much better off living her own entire home-life without some cold brat like Elsa around, especially since one traumatic accident. Stupid Grand Pabbie should've protected some ungrateful little brat, Elsa from traumatic childhood memories of one accident likewise back when she was only 8, whereas, Anna was only 5." "There's no way we could forgive Grand Pabbie for making Anna suffer, like that cold brat even suffered." "That stupid, cowardly, bratty platinum blonde little girl blindly hid her ice powers obediently by the safe, but strictly unfair order of King Agnarr when she still should've embraced her ability to make it more useful before." "Ah yeah, worse, that spoiled, entitled, paranoid little brat, Snow Queen Elsa had some kind of nerve to ask Anna what does she know about true love." "Grand Pabbie was nothing but an ignorant fool who even made brats like Elsa go through her entire life with those unprotected, traumatic childhood memories of one accident instead of protecting her from traumatic childhood memories of one accident back when she was 8, whereas, Anna was just 5." "It's better to offer Anna much more and more freedom if you ask me. In fact, it's especially better to set her free from the likes of that brat, Elsa." "Agreed." "We've gotten news for Grand Pabbie. Nobody gets away with leaving Anna to grow up with all ordinary memories." "That brat, Elsa has no right to call herself a sister." "More natural, more precocious, more well rounded, childless human grown adult fit, real, royal, richer, wealthier, more luxurious professionals and perfectionists who normally show courtly manners in public, know how to deal with the ice powers properly, should've raised the little brat, Elsa, whereas, non magic, ordinary childless human grown adult non royals and unfit royals who normally show wilderness, worship magic, should've raised Anna after one traumatic accident instead of King Agnarr and Queen Iduna, if we ain't wrong." "Which would've at least saved the friendliness loneliness and the dull isolation likewise."

ANOTHER KINGDOM (NEITHER ARENDELLE, THE SOUTHERN ILSES NOR WESELTON)
"While it's safe, it's really not fair that Anna wasn't allowed to know about magic anymore just because of one traumatic accident." Kate was worried about Arendelle's feisty strawberry blonde princess. "Who does that cowardly rock troll fraud, Grand Pabbie think he is anyway?! Whoever else makes other magic powered children grow up with unprotected, traumatic childhood memories of their past lives, especially accidents is either worse than Grand Pabbie or just as bad as Grand Pabbie!" "Well, we can't really blame Anna for hating protections. Melina basically taught Anna to defend herself strongly. And even though Anna refused to move on from Elsa...when Scott, Marlana and Melina showed Anna the same unprotected, traumatic childhood memories of one accident Elsa grew up, whereas, Anna had to grow up with all ordinary memories after Grand Pabbie changed Anna's magical memories to ordinary memories, Anna took that very badly, too, the way she took the rejection of her and Hans's quick engagement very badly. I just can't help but to feel sorry for Anna. She was still in a lot of ways young when Kaiba died. She never really had the chance to grow up with not just all ordinary memories, but also all magical, less traumatic memories and neither did Elsa. If Anna and Elsa ended up living their own different, distant home-lives after one traumatic accident and if Anna grew up here, it's better to do everything to make sure Anna had a real childhood!"
"Stupid Grand Pabbie should've protected ungrateful little brats like Elsa from traumatic childhood memories of one accident." "Anna has nothing left but anger, fury, rage and hatred in her heart. I've tried to talk to Anna about danger and safer and make her understand how real world works, but she won't even let me nor anybody else teach her what's right and wrong, not even Elsa, except for any of those who had to grow up with all ordinary memories, too when they wanted to grow up with not just all ordinary, but also all magical, less traumatic memories."
