Fine ending chapter!
"My Name Is Jo" is the most fitting title because it's who she is with her real family (sister, BIL, niece, Henry, Abe, Hanson, Lt. Reece & Lucas. The other titles give away some of the plot, but don't capture her spirit. Poor Jo, betrayed by her father and set up by her brother. Henry was right, they don't deserve their titles. Jo cleared (although on desk duty from multiple damaged ribs), the bad guy, Matteo, now shot & killed and bad brother, Emilio, captured & in custody of police. If the fun scene involves Lucas & balloons, I'm excited. Please, keep the stories coming!

I love the last two chapters of the story!

Wow! What a twist! I was surprised when you said that Lucas was shot! I'm glad that he'll be okay. Leave it to Lucas to describe his wound like that.

As for the case, it was suspenseful. I'm glad that I was wrong about Rogers-that his belligerence was just part of his job. Matteo reminds me a little of Adam, manipulating everyone (or almost everyone) to get what he wants. Jo has to be hurting because of both her father's and her brother's betrayal of her. Henry is the perfect person to comfort Jo in that regard because of Henry's own pain of his own father's betrayal of principles.

Out of curiosity, when is this story set? Is it after "The Warrior Princess and the Cowboy"? If so, it gives Henry's actions toward Jo's father in the hospital added weight.

Again, great story and great job!

Great ending. Yes, sometimes blood relations disappoint you the most. The family she has chosen is the best for her. They have her back and they're going to protect and defend her fiercely. Her father and brother should be proud of her. Anyway, loved the way both Hanson and Henry blocked her father's view of her. He didn't even rate setting an eye on her. Wow. Thank you.

Oh, good! Jo has been exonerated, but she is now going to put herself in even more danger than when she was framed, as a living, moving target to draw out Matteo. Brave, strong Lady! And so glad that Lucas' wound was not life-threatening. Go, M Squad!

Hope the case of the invisible reviews gets cleared up, too. I was half afraid that this was going to be the final chapter. So, continue, please. At least you know we love it.

I've just seen this story last night, and I wanted to comment on it today.

Great story so far! This is an interesting case. I like the idea of Jo being framed for a murder that she didn't commit. I really am enjoying the backstory that you've given her. It shows her character at an early age. I also suspect that maybe Rogers has something to do with the murder as well; he seems quite belligerent toward Jo.

I also love how the team is supporting Jo in this time. I love how Henry and Hanson have teamed up to investigate the case and that Lt. Reece is letting them. I love the line "To use Hanson's words, 'Henry used Jedi mind tricks on him'." Lt. Reece knows Lucas all too well now. xD

Who's framing Jo? Her dad, her brother or Adam or any combination of the three OR someone in Internal Affairs for reasons unknown yet. Or a friend of Det. Dunn, or ...? My bet is on her father using her brother because her brother had access to her safe And she nodded off for a while (her drink spiked?). You've got me baffled, an excellent thing for an author to do. I hope to see if I'm even close to right in your future chapter(s).

The backstory about Jo and her father and family is very interesting. Makes one wonder what it was like growing up with a criminal-minded father and a wayward brother. I won't speculate, but just say that if they are behind Jo's frame-up, they will be very sorry in the end for ever having messed with her. Hanson, Henry, Reece and Lucas (and Abe) will not rest until she is cleared of all charges.

Whoever framed her has been pretty thorough...so far. Please, continue!
